LUCASICustom Super Birds-Eye Maple Sneaky Pete Pool Cue with Upgraded Shaft

It came in a nice little leatherette sleeve that I don't use, but it was wrapped in bubble, and seemed very safe and happy.It plays beautifully, but after taking a little time to adjust; I kinda missed my old school, standard deflection shaft. I know, it's weird. I had so much more control with this shaft, and it really helped a lot. I just miss having squirt to play with for effect. There's so much obvious difference that I was completely confused. Thrilled, but confused. I started watching modern pool tournaments, and noticed a serious difference in how the pros play.LOW DEFLECTION IS LITERALLY A GAME CHANGER!This stick is incredible. I bought it to replace my warped McDermott butt that I can't seem to get them to fix, and I'm not sure I care anymore. The uniloc is quite nice, but I haven't used it long enough to see how it holds up. I suspect it'll be fine, since I've never heard of anyone complaining.The only bad thing about this cue is; people not "in the know" tend to think it's a house cue, and I have to go search for it. That bothers me. I don't know what they're doing to it, especially suspicious since they couldn't tell it's not a house cue. It's subtle, but still noticeable. "Sneaky Pete" is kind of used liberally on this cue. It's far nicer than a real Sneaky Pete. Beautiful to look at, nice to hold, a pleasure to shoot...I haven't used a wrapless in many years though. There's something about it that doesn't seem to feel right. It's really good, but I guess I'm just so used to leather wrap that it's a splinter in my mind without it. That's something to keep in mind. I was going for cheap, and simple. This cue fits that bill perfectly, with all of the quality I want, without the dressing I don't want to pay for. Inlays are beautiful, but I just don't care enough to be willing to pay extra for it. This cue is perfect like that. It has the inlays, but not as garish as I find other cues to be. You have to look at it to notice. If you're used to house cues, or wrapless designs, I'm sure this cue feels perfect. It's wonderful.To sum up; I should have bought a DIFFERENT Lucasi cue, with a leather wrap. No regrets though, and I'm still very glad I bought this one. I'll love it for the rest of it's life. I just need to figure out how to say goodbye to decades of playing with squirt, and fully embrace the new awesome we have today. I guess. Maybe. I bought this cue for my husband for Christmas. He had a McDermott cue which was much more expensive. That one got stolen and he researched many cues, looking for a replacement. Based on the reviews, I bought this one. He loves it. He said it is actually as nice or maybe even nicer. It is a super nice cue for a nice price. Take a chance on this one. You will be glad you did.

Nicely made cue stick. Received it true. Play a couple of game with it and yes It is low deflection indeed.Love it.

I actually bought this back in Feb of 2019 and have not been able to replace it because I absolutely love it. I have played with a predator, different kinds, I’ve played with cuetec, different ones… this one is the one I use for all of my tournaments. I let someone borrow it one day and she kept asking where could she buy one just like mine because she felt her shots were more accurate and cleaner. This is it! I don’t know if I could replace it. It would be too hard!
