Love, Love, Loved this book
Indigo Nights turned into late nights for me reading this book. I love the way this author writes and I've read everything she's written so I was excited to read her latest offering.I love that so many of her books are linked, characters from one series get their own series and it makes the reader feel like they're part of those families and the lives of the characters.Indigo Nights was no different. In it, we are reunited with the characters from previous books but in this one, it's about Beth, Jake's sister, who is a recovering alcoholic, and who has turned baking cakes from a way to help her with her sobriety, to what could very well become a career path for her.Beth meets Dylan James on a plane which never quite gets off the ground due to bad weather and when they both start what was supposed to be just casual sex, a one night stand, certainly nothing serious anyway, it was at that point that I swear I thought I would burst into flames.I love the way the two characters are together, the connection. I love that Beth bakes cakes and that so many yummy cakes and desserts get a mention, although they made me wish it was possible to taste them too. As for Dylan, he's just divine. The perfect blend of hot and sexy but with a caring side to him too. This author sure knows how to write a sex scene. They are always beautifully written, with the perfect blend of sexy, sensual and steamy but romantic, emotional and powerful. I don't want to reveal the storyline because I don't want to spoil it, but I certainly recommend you read it.I LOVED this book. I could barely put it down to eat or do anything other than read it. Another sexy, romantic and emotional read by Louise Bay.

There are not enough words.....Love
Louise Bay you are my new favourite writer...from reading Hopeful, the Duke, King, Prince and everything in between, I'm so glad I found you. It's YOU who's been missing from my library. Your stories are not only a joy to read, they're also impeccably written; the characters, their lives, loves and losses...the editing. Sexy, saucy, just utterly exquisite, and with absolute attention to each detail. It's obvious the care you take of your precious gift to us, your readers; obvious in the pace, the placement of each coma, fullstop, exclamation mark etc...When you present your craft that flawless, what is not to love about you, your writing, your people, your books. I have been so proud to share your name far and wide across my friends and porn-pal network, and though I never doubted it, the feedback has been "Omg thanks for the recommendation, this is the best writer since....since forever; 5 glorious golden stars". But then I knew it would be the case, you're just that great Louise. I realise this is not exactly a review about Indigo Nights, and yet it kind of is; it's about every book penned by you Louise....please don't ever stop, and please say thanks to your Editor for doing their job so you (and they) can shine....Thankyou for the gift of your writing xo

Loved it!
Louise Bay has become my new favorite author. Every book, I read, I love. They are so good, so full of great characters and great stories Indigo Nights is about 2 people who have had bad luck with love, they have given up on falling in love or being in love. Beth is a recovering alcoholic. She has been sober for a few years, but is afraid to date, because, in the past, she was drunk whenever she had sex, so she is afraid she won't enjoy it sober. She discovered a love of baking as a way to heal and reinvent herself when she stopped drinking. Dylan is a billionaire who is afraid that all women just want him for his money. They are both very nervous about having a relationship, so they have a one night stand, but it turns into more nights and maybe something more. There is much angst and drama between them. I was introduced to Beth's family, her brother, Jake, his wife, Haven, her brother Luke and wife Ash. They all have books, which I will read next. I really enjoyed reading this book, it was lighter than what I have been reading, but there is a lot of sex!

This read merits more than five stars!
Reviewed by Donna Elsegood on behalf of Kindle Friends ForeverThis was the long awaited story about Jake Harrison's sister, Beth, who many of us have met in previous stories. She’s nearly four years into sobriety having spent most of her time in a drunken haze due to losing her mother at a young age and unsuccessful relationships. Jake got her into a clinic and supported her alcoholism bringing her back from the brink. She loves to bake which is another part of her therapy for keeping sober and from further heartbreak. She makes a few YouTube videos of her baking and they become a hit. Beth finds herself being invited to Chicago to possibly film for a TV company.Having read Jake and Haven’s story in What The Lightening Sees, and then Ashleigh and Luke’s in The Calling Series, we got a glimpse of Beth. It was indicated that she would get a standalone story as opposed to a series telling her story of which I was looking forward to. There was something about Beth that I liked instantly. Being aware that she was single and a recovering alcoholic, at the time I really thought she deserved to have some happiness.Travelling first class, she notices businessman Dylan James. His good looks and moody ways with the airline staff fascinate her and she can’t stop herself from staring at him. Dylan is the kind of man who doesn’t do relationships. He just uses women for sex; however, they equally use him for his money.Quote: Beth ~ “You know, I’m sure any number of the flight attendants, male or female, would be happy to indulge you in” – “whatever it is you’re doing.”Dylan ~ “I’m not interested in the cabin crew. I’m flirting with you, hoping you’ll flirt back.”When the unexpected happens, Beth and Dylan find themselves together. The cat and mouse between them was an absolute pleasure to read. I was literally taken by the palpating attraction, and regardless of her stubborn streak, what follows is a steamy sex scene making my hair curl! Get ready for more sizzling encounters because these two can’t seem to keep their hands off each other!Quote: Dylan ~ “Oh baby, if you like how my tongue does that, I can’t wait to show you what else its capable of.”There were times when I wondered where this relationship was going to lead to considering they live an ocean apart. Furthermore, their doubts and trust issues made me think that by continuing with liaisons, misunderstandings could cause more than one complication. Feeling the sexual tension ooze from the pages in this story packed with hotness, hurt and love had me on edge. I loved how we got to learn more about Beth's feisty personality and I felt that she was actually stronger than she thought.Quote: Dylan “You Googled me? You didn’t think about doing that before we had sex the first time?”Beth ~ “Apparently I like your tight ass too much to be bothered by what Google had to say.”Just when I think Louise has created the perfect story and couldn’t possibly invent more angst-ridden plots; yet again she has blown my mind! Full of passion, her character development of high-spirited women and sexy men is served up on a silver plate and I just adored it. But I am not going to give anything further away. I highly recommend this read and just have to quote the best line ever. “The only thing better than cakes cake with a side of orgasms.” That had me laughing out loud. Beth bakes and has no qualms about eating the cakes she bakes. I loved that about her. Too many of us women worry about eating such things and it going straight to our waistlines. Not once did Beth worry about that.I gave five stars for many of the above mentioned reasons. Not only was this read fantastic, but it was also faultless in structure, editing and flow. I got to the end and thought how on earth is Louise going to come up with another story, but I know she will. I’ve always had a burning question. Does Ms Bay know any men like her characters because if not, the lady has an amazing imagination! As always, I look forward to what comes next although I am hoping we revisit Beth and Dylan again in the future along with Jake, Haven, Ashleigh and Luke.

Louise's best yet!
I loved this book, so much so that I read it in one sitting, really couldn't put it down. The characters are so believable and I actually felt their connection. It wasn't just words on a page, I felt their love. I felt her insecurities, his fear of losing her and the author dealt with both emotions in a realistic way. The book didn't overplay or drag out either of these characteristics and was true to itself. I loved the way the storyline threaded in seamlessly with previous books and particularly commendable is the way the author dealt with the issue of alcoholism. It was sensitive, realistic and in keeping with the storyline, showing how, with love and support the illness can be overcome. I've loved all of Louise's books so far, but for me this is the best yet and I would love to read more about Beth and Dylan. I enjoy the way Louise gets to the point and doesn't drag things out and I love that the secondary characters in the book keep the main characters grounded. Brilliant Louise, just brilliant!

“Cake and orgasms – life didn’t get much better than that.”
Dylan and Beth! I adored them!Beth is an alcoholic. She’s been sober for a few years but she’s never had sober sex. She started baking to focus on something else. Her baking leads her to her home city of Chicago. On the flight back to London, she meets Dylan. Broody, serious, gorgeous Dylan, who turns out to be dirty-talking, downright sexy Dylan!Dylan was jilted years ago and now plays the field. Beth’s vulnerability and honesty hooks him in, and his possessiveness and tenderness of feeling for her surprises him, but doesn’t deter him from pursuing her. They both want transparency in their relationship but Dylan is hiding a secret that could break Beth’s trust. This book was seriously hawt! The chemistry between them was incandescent, and the ingredients of cake, sex and orgasms really worked for me! One of my new favourite reads from this author!**I received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.**

Perfection!
Wow wow wow !!!Jeez I love cake , I love Dylan James .........and combined together well holy hell its the perfect recipe for a brilliant book !!!This story had me reading through the pages furiously fast I didn't want to stop reading because I didn't want to be released from the books magical spell. When I say magical spell I mean literally I was under a haze of decadent passionate captivity. We meet Beth a recovering alcoholic that's getting her life back on track and certainly doesn't need any complications.Meet Dylan (the complication) he's a head strong, fast talking sexy CEO that usually gets what he wants. He wants Beth. However usually he not affected by women he loves and leaves them but this woman has got under his skin.I love this book. The way Louise Bay tackled the issue regarding to Beth's alcoholism was perfect, it gave the issue awareness without glamourising it for fiction purposes. Perfect just perfect!I can't wait to read more of this authors work.

romance and cake, quite the combination!
This is the first book I've read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I thought Dylan was going to be a bit too cocky and overbearing at the start, but once we saw through the barriers he'd raised, he really was very sexy and caring with a good amount of cocky and humour. Beth also had her barriers, but it was great to see their relationship grow and solidify after their extremely steamy initial meeting. I also love the way that Beth was a beautiful, sexy, curvy girl, not afraid to eat a lot of cake. Yum, the things you can do with cake ;-) I would recommend this and will definitely be reading more from this author.

Indigo Nights, by Louise Bay.
I so enjoyed this story line. Right from the get-go. Its passionate in every sense & that certainly comes across in the writing skills of this author. I felt the tension when Beth left Dylan and he followed her to London - his weeks of waiting for her - you could feel his anxiousness. So well worth a read and 5*'sLoved the cover - says it all.
