Kenzie's Kreations Unfinished Star Veg Bin with Bread Box on Top, 17" L x 36" H

Warning: Very very very disappointed with this bin. The wood was basically slapped together in such a way that the joints did not match and it was completely asymmetrical on one side-I can't believe that the person who made it thought that it was acceptable to send out to a paying customer. In addition, the smell of the untreated wood is so overpowering and the chicken wire has many cut/sharp pieces and it is very easy to prick oneself on metal pieces when you open the bins. I can't use it for vegetables because my potatoes and carrots smelled more like the untreated wood than the vegetables they were. It just wasn't right. The wood was badly sanded -the actual bin was also damaged in different places and the bin was made of scarred, already chipped pieces of the cheap pine. Please do yourself a favor-don't purchase this product. I would send it back, but it is so big. I have had to accept that I got totally ripped off. My husband couldn't believe the poor craftsmanship. We just can't use it for its intended purpose. The bin is brutally disappointing. Buyer beware. If I could give no stars, I would.

There are so many things that could improve this product. First, the wood is not sanded at all, and because it comes preassembled it's difficult to sand it after its recieved. Next, the screens being stapled in, need to be removed for finishing, making extra unnecessary steps to do the finishing of it. Additionally my unit had it's back not quite correctly installed, I ended up retailing it in place. The back panel of wood has a coating that makes it not take a stain well, which I had to sand off. The stars are not cut quite evenly as well.On the plus side I like the hardware choice that is on this unit, looks very rustic and fits a country kitchen theme well. We also like the size of this, it is very near to the height of my countertops, and fits the large bread we buy very well.I finished mine with Danish Oil and it matches other racks and cabinets I had made at home.

This is cute but quality isn't that great. I returned the first one because it was cut and put together crooked. It wasn't fixable, so I exchanged for a new one. The second one was only slightly crooked and all of the hinges were loose and the pieces were starting to separate so we had to tighten everything up and nail some of the frame piece in better.I stained it to match my kitchen which I was happy I could do. My bread molds in it quickly and my potatoes sprout within about 3 days. My garlic and onions turn black after about 3 days, also. I have it stored away from the fridge or anything that would generate heat near it but it stays warms and clammy/humid feeling inside the bins. It looks nice (aside from the slight crookedness) but I'm pretty disappointed in the functionality of it. It takes up a lot of room to not work well. I still end up storing my bread, potatoes, onions & garlic on the counter :(

Needed a vegetable bin to replace onion and potato bags I had been using. Loved this design and thought I could put my touch on it to fit my kitchen. Very surprised at how quickly it arrived. Its nice and sturdy and ready to utilize straight out the box. I am giving 4 out of 5 stars because I had to hammer the sides and back down as they were loose. Otherwise, very nice craftsmanship and I am totally pleased. Worth the price and can't beat free shipping on Prime. I am including before and after photos where I stained and painted.

I am very happy with this. It arrived in one big box, fully assembled. It feels sturdy, and was smoothly sanded. I was undecided about painting/staining, but it looks nice as is.I put 12 pounds of potatoes in the one bin, and it would hold about that many onions in the other. I like the star design. It does not look too country, and would work with a lot of decors.The doors are hinged on the bottom. I like that there are little wooden turn latches for the doors They fit snugly but are easy to turn.We are short on cabinets so are always looking for storage options in our kitchen, and this is great.

Well I do however love this but unfortunately when put together it was done very sloppy and has many gaps and spaces and the wire could have of been better stapled down.

Shipping took a little longer but that is ok. Was worth the wait.

The first bin arrived with 3 inch crack at the top, so they sent out a new one. The new one arrived today and sadly was also cracked where they put a screw into a knot on the side and there was also a chunk missing from where the screw split the side. Very thin wood, hammer dents visible at all the places that where nailed and was also dented at the top corner. Super disappointed to have to send it back again and get my money refunded because I really liked the design.
