Q: Can I use on my scalp sparingly?

I bought and tried this to use on my body (but not scalp). I found it too drying, and stopped using it after two tries. Maybe its cheap enough to try, so even if it does not meet your needs you won't have the feeling that you wasted money. Good luck.

Q: Does this soap relieve chigger bites?

Yes! It does kill chiggers. As well as invisible mites causing redness on the face (some call it rosacea, although this condition can be caused by other factors. But this soap relieved this condition for me too.) And Turkey mites and tiny ticks from the woods or fields. As soon as you come back from outside, take off clothes. Leave them outside or place in tightly cinched up plastic bag. Bathe/soak in water using this soap. Scrub with wash rag all surfaces of the body. The chiggers will die before they bite you. They can be on your body for up to hours before they find a place they want to bite. This prevents that. We have found that with daily use of this soap, we get no bites in the summer. Mosquitoes even don’t often bite either. Couldn’t do without this soap. It makes your skin soft as well.
