Awesome product just got it installed only gave it 4 stars tho due to the mount being a fixed. I would prefer a quick release. My other issue is when in 2 up position the pad has no adjustment for my wife to sit closer to me and still be supported by the back rest. There is close to a 3” gap. She still feels more comfortable being able to wrap her arms around me and would like for the back rest to support her as well. A lil on the pricey side but Other than that seems to be great.

I wasn't sure about ordering this, at first. Because between the back rest and attaching brackets you're spending @ $400.00, but I don't regret it one bit! This backrest is GREAT!, works very well for me or my passenger. I am so glad I bought this. And I am very satisfied with the quality workmanship and materials of it. If your not sure about spending the money, just do it. You won't be sorry! FYI, there are two different size attaching brackets, depending on the thickness of your seat. I ordered the larger brackets even though I should have ordered the smaller ones( according to description) HOWEVER, it still works. The larger brackets just makes the backrest sit a little higher, worked better for me. You can adjust the height of backrest anyway, just changes the starting position of adjustment.

I will carry a passenger on my motorcycle every now and then, but for the most part I am the only person on my motorcyle. With this backrest, you can position it for the rider, and have a small luggage rack over where the passenger would normally sit. When it is time to carry your passenger, you simply flip the back rest up. You still have access to a small luggage rack behind the passanger. It looks great, and works well. The Chrome version looks great (my opinion) on my bike, almost looks like a “Standard” willie G HArley Davidson accessory. As with all Kuryakyn accessories they don’t exactly give these things away, but I think this one is well worth the money.

I really like the concept and function of this backrest. It is very practical and looks great. It is very adjustable for rider and passenger. My wife says she feels vibration from it and its hard to find the sweet spot to make it very comfortable for her. She prefers the bikes quick attach trunk instead for the long trips. I like the support it gives me when riding solo. If you ride 1 up all of the time or most of the time, I highly recommend this back rest for you. It is an awesome product, and has the quality you would expect from Kuryakyn.
