Very good product, used to remember vintage chair seat

Been doing this 20 years never seen so much ink bleed. The pic of the burlap on the left is this junk one I bought here and the right is the normal burlap I usually get. This burlap is loose and sheds a lot of fibers too. Normally There is always a little tiny ink that might come off for the first few baked but then it stops and I also always wash em down with a a little bleach water to clean them when I first start using. Baked using this burlap and 8 hours later it was still bleeding ink. My guess is this says for bagels but it’s just some cheaper craft stuff, maybe not even food grade. It also smells more then the others.

It worked well. The dye from the red weaved into the webbing got on some of the plain and egg bagels. I was wondering if there was a plain webbing with no color in it. That would work well.

This items comes up when searching for food grade burlap and has "bagel board" in the main product descriptor. However if you select the smaller sized roll (10 yards), the description changes to Upholstery/craft jute webbing. I didn't notice that and ordered it. The product bleeds black die excessively and has a very chemical like oder when first rinsed. Not sure how many time I will need to wash/rinse this before it can be used for a bagel board, or if it will ever be safe that way.

Buyer should be made aware that the ink on the stripes on this product will bleed everywhere, my first set of boards (and bagels) were ruined. Trying again after boiling the burlap.
