Don't expect a large chunk of metal
Bought to replace an Oxo folding metal ruler, this is the same idea but feels very insubstantial in comparison. I knew it was going to be a shorter ruler but wasn't prepared for how lightweight it would be. Still, it does feel well made and folds out dead straight, and as the markings are etched rather than printed they should not wear off (unlike the Oxo one). Posted to me with a little sweet from Japan :)

It's not just a ruler
It is a gorgeous ruler with a really fun feature on the hinge. It has the degrees, so you can open it at 45 degrees and voilá, easy to draw. I wish it also had 60 degrees, but then the print would be too small.edit: I now own a black one too as my silver one was appropriated by my daughter.

Really nice finish, love the thought that has been put into designing this. Looks like it cost much more than £6

Very good quality portable rule. Stood up to the task so far, being carried in a pen pouch on a diary. Pivots well.
