HOLY SH*T!!!! THE BUDS I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!!!!
I owned a cheap set of wireless earbuds and although they sounded good, they cut out from time to time. And it WAS the earbuds, not the phone. Then again, what do you want for a cheap set of wireless earbuds, eh? That's when I decided to do some more research on a new set of earbuds.I saw a review on YouTube about the Soundcore Life A2 NC earbuds. I passed up Skull Candy, Samsung, Jabra and even Bose. AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER! Read on as to why.Pro's:- App-supported!!!! When I found out these had a supporting app, I was like, "why would I want an app for my buds?" Then I saw the features...- Firmware upgradeable. As soon as I connected them to my phone and launched the app, the firmware upgrade process started and it was easy-peasy! I have yet to research what the upgrade was, but I didn't care. The fact that it went through the process with only a couple of taps made me smile a bit.- App-controlled EQ. The multitude of different multi-band EQ settings is DOPE! Not to mention that the EQ settings are 8 bands. EIGHT FREAKIN' BANDS!!!!! WHO DOES THIS?!?!?!- Customizable EQ!!! You can even set up your OWN customized EQ settings instead of selecting from the pre-made EQ's. I have NO idea how many you can do, but it looks like enough to satisfy your sound tastes.- App-controlled NC. VERY impressed with the NC on these buds. They have it so that you can shut off the feature, thereby saving battery life, but the NC levels are nice to have. I sometimes sit in bed with my wife while she watches her shows and I listen to music. Can't hear any ambient noises when I turn on the NC. And this is NICE.- The NC is helped along by six - 6 - SIX - microphones!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME????- Comfortable fit!!! My ears are probably average size, but my ear canals are small. I just switched out the pads for the smallest ones and they fit nice! I can shake my head a bit and they won't come loose! No ear fatigue and I can sometimes barely feel them!- Instant-connect! As soon as you open the clam shell charging base, the buds connect, and THAT is a nice feature! My previous buds had to be taken out of their base to connect. Not these! You can start adjusting the app as soon as you open the case!- Battery level indicators are in the app, so you can see just how much of a charge your buds have.- Moderately priced. In comparison to other earbuds by different makers, these earbuds are worth every penny you spend on them.Con's:N/A-----------------------Final thoughts:Regarding battery life: if you're listening to music for over 7 hours a day, you have too much time on your hands. Get a job! But don't use these while doing your job, otherwise you won't hear anything outside of your head.I let my wife test them and she was blown away by the sound quality and comfort - and she's particularly picky about the comfort. So I ended up buying her a pair that will be here today. ;)I saw some issues regarding the sound cutting out. I can't chalk these up to the buds. Sometimes, YouTube Music, iHeart and SiriusXM cut out regardless of how I'm listening (internal phone speaker, Bluetooth speaker, corded buds, Soundcore), so I can't attribute this particular issue to the earbuds.Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed and plan to buy some more of these as gifts for some special people in my life.

Comfortable, Great Sound, Affordable
I personally was looking for solely comfort and audio quality, everything else is an extra.First, the comfort is great. I tend to wear headphones for 8-10 hours at work, most of my day is at a computer and music goes a long way. The small fittings work for my ears and aren’t really bothered even after a few hours. They have an interesting way of fastening into your ear that seems to spread the load out a bit better than just shoving them in there.Secondly, I’m no audiophile but they exceed what I would hope for at this price range. Audio feels clear and, if I set for higher bass, it doesn’t muddy other tones that I can tell. The fact that they have a simple equalizer through the app is great. In my personal experience the ability to set an equalizer will always improve my experience far more over more expensive products without one.Onto my “extra” features, active noise cancellation is actually new to me. From what I can tell, it does an incredible job at completely cancelling low frequencies (like engines, ac, etc.) It actually astonished me how unaware I was that my workspace has a LOT of this low frequency noise. It shocks me every time I remove my headphones when I remember just how loud the low tones are.It does a decent job in at least reducing other noises and voices, but never quite cancelling the sound outright like it does low tones. I wish the indoor setting (targets voice and mid tones) and outdoor setting (targets ambient noise?) would block low tones just as well as the transport mode (explicitly low tones). Those low tones actually seem to make up a ton of background noise everywhere. Again, this is extra to me anyway and I can’t speak on how it compares to other products. The battery life is pretty decent, from a full charge of constant use I get maybe 6-7 hours, which lasts me a full day since I tend to charge them when away from the desk. Charge time also does seem surprisingly fast. Would top my chart if it had 9-10 hour life but its decent as is.Microphone quality also seems pretty good. Quite honestly, these headphones are the first wireless ones I’ve used where the microphone could actually be heard decently by the other line. The quality will never be great considering the distance from your mouth, but it still seems to make up for it well. The app also lets you configure the touch controls on the buds, which is nice. Options are pretty simple but its nice they even have them and I made use of it. Personally I only ever want to pause/play by touching the buds so those are now the only controls enabled. My one other small caveat is that most wireless earbud cases seem to be Qi wireless charging compatible, and I would have loved if this case was the same. Fortunately I only need to charge the case once or twice a week, but I love being able to skip the cord entirely.
