GOLDENRIVER BP96-00826A Compatible Replacement for Samsung BP96-00826A DLP Lamp

This seems to be a great replacement for my burned out lamp. The colors look better. The casing is smaller, than my original, so I figured it would slide right in. It took me a good 20 minutes of getting it just right and pushing the lamp all the way in so that it "clicks". The old lamp casing slides in much easier. But now that I know how it needed to be angled and that it requires a bit of positioning and force, it's all good. Hopefully it lasts for a while, good so far.

I was watching the Sunday night games when my lamp finally gave out. The first place I search was on Amazon and found the perfect replacement in minutes. I choose the one day shipping and I was amazed that it actually arrived the next day. I’ve had some bad experiences with shipping once or twice. This new lamp restored the brightness and picture quality to "like new". The price is right and it was easy to install. Game on!

First, I will say that it is very difficult initially to find the correct replacement lamp. I ordered this one, and received it promptly. While in transit, I discovered that there was a heavily reviewed (all very positive) replacement with the original Philips bulb. I ordered the other one as well.Once both were in hand, I noted the following-Both housings (the plastic exterior) were IDENTICAL. When I say Identical, I am not making an assumption...They both had the same "Made in Mexico" sticker, placed in the same location, with the same manufacturer markings and numbers. That said, there was nothing wrong with that, they both fit IDENTICALLY into my TV. There were however visible differences in the bulbs and connections. I ended up returning this replacement lamp, and stuck with the Philips bulb with heavier/cleaner looking connections.This replacement worked fine, and the picture was great (I tested both). I am a stickler for using premium parts on things that I value. My 46" Samsung DLP HDTV got 8+ years of hard DAILY use before the lamp "popped", so I chose to spend the extra $40.00 this time, and maybe I'll get another 8 years out of it!Quality was goodInstructions usableDefinitely brand newDefinitely worked as it shouldSimply preferred a "premium upgrade"

I have a Samsung HLP5663WX. My lamp finally gave out on a Tuesday, and two days later, I had new, better, replacement delivered to my door. For urgency, to me, the "$20 for 2-day shipping" was worth it.You're really supposed to replace the lamp in these DLP TV's every 2000 - 3000 hours, but mine finally went; after 7 years and 13,626 hours! As a bonus, this is the updated part for most Samsung DLP bulbs. It is made to last longer than the original design.I never realized how dull my previous bulb was until I turned on my set with this replacement. As others have said, and I concur, it makes an old TV look like new, again.These bulbs used to sell for $250, so to get one for under $100 is a great deal. Replacement was a breeze with a powered Phillips screwdriver (but you really don't need powered). 4 screws to remove the cover, and 1 to unsecure the housing (the box that holds the bulb). A firm tug on the housing and the old one slides right out. Be careful to line up the new housing into the groove.I believe that I saved over $250 by doing this myself and buying it via Amazon.

I received the replacement lamp very quickly - about 3 days after I placed the order. The replacement installed easily. However, I've notice that after a week, the screen will be fuzzy, not full color, at the initial start up. Then at about 30 to 40 second point (after start up), the screen is fine, (full color - clear, etc). I did have two incidences in the past week where it will start, go about 10 seconds, then shut down completely and the "lamp" indicator flashes. I hit the power button again, and it worked okay. I read other reviews about other lamp replacements and think that the replacement I got may NOT be suitable substitute, and may be stressing a ballast and therefore causing the erratic lamp behavior. If it just amounts to me waiting a few more seconds and the screen is fine, then I'm fine. If it ends up not working after a few more weeks, then I'd say this was a failure due to a inferior replacement part.

I have a Samsung DLPTV and like the others, the picture was getting a little less 'bright'. I got new glasses and thought that was the problem as things looked much better with them, but then noticed the night scenes were getting pretty dark. The bulb was was almost exactly 7 years old. Researched these bulbs and decided to get the Samsung/Phillips, even though it cost more. As I was about to 'pull the trigger' and order, (my wife was watching the TV in the other room) and we both heard a loud 'bam', and then sounds like sizzling and I hurriedly pulled the power plug. We ordered this, it came within 5 days, and like the others, had no trouble installing. We prayed that nothing else was fried, turned it on and the TV is now working and is as bright and crisp as if it were new! While it's only been a few weeks I am extremely happy with my purchase!

I had brought from Amazon a cheaper version - specified for my TV ~$30 cheaper. The connection plug did not fit. Amazon did a great job in accepting my return and refund. I turned around and bought this instead, which was shipped directly from Samsung. Fitted perfectly and I have not problems.This experience makes me want to buy from Amazon even more, as they stand by their products.

I received this item and at first was not happy that the lamp was not the same as the one i had ordered for my samsung. The casing was of cheap plastic and the bulb itself was a different size. I put it into the rear of my set and tried it out. Initially i left the cover off and it would turn off shortly after starting. I noticed a small toggle switch by the cover and came to the conclusion that it was a safety device which prohibited the set from staying on with the cover opened. After closing the cover the TV started up and stayed on. Very happy but almost returned the item when there wasn't anything wrong. Definitely would recommend it.

after few days installing the lamp, the tv screen started to flicker every now and then. it dissapeared after a few days.we start noticing that the tv screen started to get darker and darker, we did adjust our brightness to the max.,but did not help, so buyers be aware this is crappy product, i rather pay more and get better quality, it did not even last four months.

Fast shipping, great packaging, outstanding item works perfectly, highly recommended !

It had some issues starting (flickering) but that went away and everything is good now.

Terrible. Stopped working within the month

Have not used the lamp yet as the old one is still working but soon to go. Shipping and price was good, ( looks Good )No regrets!
