200 different colors
This pack of 200 markers is incredible. All different colors. These are great markers for my daughter's college art classes. Almost to many sometimes. She loves them.

Good markers at a decent price.
Some of the best markers out there at a decent price. They do run out fairly quick though. More cost effective then copics in the short term, but less so in the long term, since they're not refillable. I do refill the colorless one with 90% isopropyl alcohol, and that extends its life a bit. You can stretch them all with isopropyl alcohol, but that tends to weaken the color a lot. It's better to just replace them. I might try copics in the future, though I've heard the nibs tend to not last very long, especially when you use them on things other than paper. I use these on playmats, and the nibs hold up really well. If you control your pressure really well, you can get a much finer line with the brush tip than with the chisel or even the fine tip. For super fine detail, I might try filling a fountain pen with copic inks. That is one thing that frustrates me: the really small markers like the microns are only available in a few colors. I really wish that the tiny ended markers were available in all these colors. Hopefully prismacolor will come out with a set soon. Also you can get some amazing effects when you brush on some isopropyl alcohol to the surface you are drawing on, either before or after laying down the color with these, especially on play mats. If you use paper with a glossy sizing, you can get some other cool effects. Using this on plastic is really good too, as you can push the colors around and blend them really nicely, just be sure to use a fixitive when you're done.

Too much money
Great markers but too expensive. These markers would be worth the cost if you could refill them and replace the nibs. The quality of these markers are fantastic. I just can't justify the price for this set.

The industry standard; long-lasting
I just realized that I've had the same set of Prismacolor markers for about 16 years, and they're still as good as new. I don't use them all that often, otherwise many of the colors would have run out by now. But the fact that they're still going strong is pretty cool. These markers are the industry standard for architectural renderings, fashion drawings, etc. They can be used on a wide variety of papers, but my preference is mylar, which allows for the color to be smudged and erased.

The best of the best. 200CT, but double sided!
This is a mouthwatering set for any true artist. If you love art markers then this is the equivalent of the Holy Grail. These double sided markers (one side is brush-like and the other side is finer) are the finest that money can buy and the colors are vibrant. You don't have to worry about the colors running as you draw either. I can't speak highly enough about these. They come in a black rack system that will keep them in place after you've opened the box. The price on Amazon is the best too. Lower than Blick and all of the other major vendors. If you are serious and you can afford it, buy these. Don't even bother looking anywhere else. If this is a career for you then you can't afford not to have these and you already know that.

Overpriced and quality issues
I should have known these markers would not be good. The problem is that I have an entire collection of each of the following: COPIC Ciao, Windsor & Newton Promarkers and Tombow. The Prismacolor markers are at the bottom of my list. There are 156 markers but 10 of them are black and then there is the boat load of greys: French, warm, cool. The colors that aren’t either black or gray are alright but the selection is very limited.Every marker is a surprise. I’d say that roughly half of the markers are very “juicy” so before using a color you should test it and note which ones have to be used very carefully or you’ll got outside the lines of your drawing. These markers are not worth $400. Tombow markers aren’t that expensive and they perform much better. Spend your money on building a Copic Ciao collection. The markers will last forever as they can be refilled with ink. The brushes can be replaced at a very reasonable charge. Just don’t waste your money on these Prismacolor markers
