This 4" Inch Air Vent Duct Connector Flange is the best thing to use for dryer exhaust ducts that come into the interior wall. Often there is just drywall and open space or foam insulation injected around the vent duct. I always use these 4" inch connector flanges since they add a lot of reinforcement to the exhaust vent duct and prevents the duct tube from moving when the dryer is moved. That is often what causes the exhaust vent duct to make a large hole in the drywall. After so many times, the hole get bigger. This flange is also wide enough to cover up about 1 to 1-1/2" inches around the through the wall exhaust vent duct. I simply use 4 one inch drywall or similar wood threaded screws to mount it into place. The photo shows the flange mounted on the interior duct of the dryer exhaust vent. The duct still has to be trimmed down to allow closer space behind the dryer and the exterior wall.

I needed something to finish off the interior wall dryer vent and this worked great. Note this is for a 4in vent pipe. I pre-drilled 4 holes into this and just screwed it into the drywall. It made the inside look nice vs the rough cut hole I had before. If cannot attest to any other use besides what I used it for, which was perfect for what I needed.

Took a lot of sleuthing to find this flange. Loads of other flanges were male connectors going into the standard 4" vent but this one supports the vent and protects drywall from crumbling due to vent moving back and forth. I drilled a couple holes on opposite sides and secured it the drywall and voila, my vent looks so much neater with it installed.

Not 5" its 5 1/4"

Does not fit the 4 inch vent hose. It’s two tight. My contractor is now putting my laundry together and my return is expired. I need 2- 5 inches connectors instead. They should make a 4 1/2 inch size.

When the plumbers reinstalled my tankless hot water header, they left a rugged ugly opening around the exhaust for the natural gas powered hot water heater. This flange fits perfectly and cleans up the opening in the garage ceiling. Once the heater is fully installed the flange has predrilled holes to allow you to permanently attach the flange to the exhaust pipe. Whether your heater is mounted inside your house in a utility room or in the garage, if the plumber doesn't install a flange in the wall or ceiling, then this flange is what you need.

Nice sleek look but be aware it's not designed to be used as a coupling for 6 inch ducting.

These look great as a finished transition going through walls or ceilings.
