Q: What is the difference between this and homeoplasmine?

Cicaderma will heal help speed the healing process in cuts, abrasions, acne, bug bites, cat scratches and burns, which helps prevent formation of hypertrophic scars, and helps to reduce other types of scars. It must be massaged into fresh scar tissue for maximum reduction. Not intended to be used on an open laceration. Homeoplasmine shares a few of the same soothing ingredients as cicaderma, however it's a different formula intended for use in different types of skin irritations, such as exzema, dermatitis, psoriatic rashes, dry chapped mucas membranes inside your nose, and dry chapped skin and lips. It's also used to prevent flaking skin, under make up, or even pat a little bit over the makeup as a flake reducing spot treatment. Many makeup artists are known to use it for that reason, or they use Embryolisse instead, another well known, super moisturizing, French skin care pomade, applied in a similar fashion. *I've used Cicaderma on severe lacerations to prevent scarring, beginning immediately after the stitches were removed. Between the combo of Cicaderma and Hydrocolloid (silicon) bandages, it's impossible to notice that my pinky & ring fingertips were ever amputated. I'm sure the scars would look more obvious if I didn't use the Cicaderma.
