I received the camera and it was well packaged with everything needed to get it hooked up and working. I was a little surprised that this camera system is not wireless between the camera and the monitor. I guess I did not read the product description closely enough before I ordered it. I have experience with other Rohent backup cameras that were wireless so I just assumed this one was as well. It is not. It uses what is called ONE-Wire installation, with one very sturdy wire running between the camera and the monitor. There are two ways to power the system. You can use the 12 volt cigarette lighter adapter which allows for continuous use, or you can power it from a backup light wire that powers the system when you shift into reverse. I decided to use the 12V adapter.There is a video you can watch to help you install the system. The QR code is included in the instruction manual. Installation using the ONE-Wire system is very easy, especially with the 12V adapter. No wires to cut or tap! The manual suggests testing the system before permanently mounting it, so that is what I did. Running the wires and powering the system was simple. I have a mid-size SUV and the wire between the camera and the monitor is plenty long enough to allow for options of where to run the wire for the permanent installation. The installation test went great, the camera came right on when I turned on the adapter, and the picture in the monitor was clear and sharp and the grid lines were lined up where they should be. The first two pics show the test of the monitor laying on the center console, and the test of the camera clipped to the license plate frame.When I installed the rear view mirror monitor over my existing mirror I was skeptical that it would work very well, but it does. The straps provided hold the mirror on tight. It does not vibrate or jiggle loose. The quality of the mirror is very good and the monitor within the mirror provides a very clear picture. The second two pics show the mounted mirror, camera off and camera on. I mostly want to use mine for hooking up trailers, and you can clearly see my trailer hitch in the monitor in the last photo. Backing up to it is easy. I haven’t decided the best way to permanently install the one wire. It can go underneath the vehicle following the existing wiring, or through the interior along the edge of the carpet or headliner.One last thing. The rear view mirror monitor is set up as a two camera system. I have dealt with this company before and they mean it when they say they will send you a second camera free. So if you have need of a second view, be sure and ask for the second camera. The information is in the installation manual.All in all, a very good system from a good company. Quality materials, very easy to install, and functions exactly as it should. Definitely a Five Star system.

Product came quickly in protective packaging. Installation instructions were thorough and effective. Most time consuming part was feeding line under vehicle into cab and beneath headliner. Tied into back up lights with enclosed t-taps. Worked perfectly. That way, camera image engages only when shifting into reverse. Also, LED lights are day/night sensitive and only come on in lower light or dark setting. Image is adequate, but may have pulsing waves in wet conditions (just my experience to date). Yes, the enclosed mirror/display has a light blue tint - no big deal. All image adjustments within the LCD mirror are easy & intuitive.Free item with purchase: per the enclosed installation & product pamphlet, customers that purchase this camera system can receive (a) an additional camera, (b) an entire new duplicate system or (c) a 12V charger/splitter. Product instructions include the customer service email to process your free item. Their team is very responsive and needs focused. They will ask if your system is functioning as expected without challenges. Also, requirements may include proof of purchase via Amazon order number. My duplicate system arrived within 1 week of contacting customer service.Would definitely purchase again!

Overall, this is a solid buy. (I purchased it February 2022). I tested the camera before I installed it per instructions. Worked great. Extremely crisp video! Wow! Easy installation except for a few details: here we go:1. The wires that plug into the reverse backup light are sheathed together with a large black insulated plastic. My red wire however was going to be further away from where I was going to secure the ground (black wire). I had to cut very carefully with a Xacto knife the outer black plastic tubing so that I could split the red / black wires. It would be better if these were easily splittable / pulled apart like speaker wires. Probably took 30-40 minutes to strip the black sheathing off to separate the two wires. Tried to use a wire stripper, but it kept piercing the smaller red / black wires / had to start over. (I'm obviously not an electrician!)2. The wires that plug into the reverse backup light are extremely thin. I wish they were large gauge so that they tapped into the reverse light better. The splicers didn't work. (punched / broke the factory wires on the car) I had to manually splice the wires together but it worked ok.3. Now that everything is connected, it seems like the picture quality has gotten lower resolution / soft. The first test out the box everything was super crisp, but now the image looks very soft, and does not have the initial "wow" factor. See the pictures. Is vibration from the car causing this? ----UPDATE----- I installed this and experienced some rainy / poor weather for about a week, and the camera, although cleaned, displayed a fuzzy / soft image. The rain has stopped and it is bright and sunny in the 70's again, and the image is crisp / clear, and not soft. So, not sure what all that was about, but ok, it seems to not be as clear in the rain. (what is? right?)4. The adjustable lines, and the lines on / off work well, and I can move them left / right and up and down, and you can move them wider or narrower. It seems to me that they are better off, but again, you may need to practice backing up, and adjust the lines to the far right where the curb is, etc.Would I purchase it again? YES! Well worth the price! Installation is going to be work with just about any camera you buy.

The media could not be loaded. The toughest challenge on my 4Runner installation was fishing the wire from the rear licence plate to the rear view mirror. But that would have been a challenge no matter the brand or model of camera. Thankfully, I found an excellent Youtube video to guide me through the process. I use the back up camera mostly for two uses; backing up precisely to hook up my trailer to my ball hitch and to backup in tight parallel parking spots. Works great. Mirror is a little bluish and a bit darker than the original mirror but I got used to it quite quickly.

Ich bin begeistert, wie einfach die Installation über den Zigarettenanzünder als Stromquelle war und das Kabelstecksystem. Die länge des Kabels reichte aus und auch die Kamera konnte ohne Schrauben einfach mit dem Kennzeichen in den Kennzeichenhalter geklemmt werden. Der Spiegel hält super mit den Gummibändern und die Qualität des Videos ist hervorragend. Alles klappt wie beschrieben und ich bin begeistert. Danke.

This is great value for what you pay. I installed in 2011 gmc sierra. Time consuming install but that is to be expected. The entire system can be powered from the rear taillight/backup lamp. I hid the wiring into my trim down the panel next to the tweeters then down to the floor where you can lift up the trim next to the door which allows you to lift up the carpet and there is a cable exit to go through. I used 20 ft of 1/2 inch split loom split wire protector under the vehicle and that was just enough. Could probably use 25 feet. I strapped the wire along the bottom of the vehicle with zip ties and fed it behind the license plate. I then ran the included wire to the taillight and spliced it into the park/backup lamp. In this case the hot wire was black. here i made the mistake of trying to use the included t connectors and then wire connectors which proved to be difficult with such small and large gauge wires. I would highly recommend soldering the wires and then insulate them with heat shrink or electrical tape. Soldering was way faster, more secure and easier then you think. The kit did include 2 t taps which could make the splicing easier but they did not work for me because of the truck wire guage and if your going through this big install I would recommend not using the t connectors and doing it the proper way because they would defiantly be a failure point in the future. Tapping into the existing wiring of the taillight will be the most difficult part for the inexperienced because there is not much cable to work with and you need to cut existing wires. The included mirror securely strapped to my existing mirror. The cabling was just long enough to make it the length of my truck with not much room to spare. I have a crew cab short box. Picture quality is great, looks hi def to me. Seems bright at night so far. It shows some lines on the screen and picture contrast in different light but that's normal. Great product and works great so far.

Die Rückfahrkamera ist klasse. Die Bildqualität ist sehr gut. Die Anleitung ist verständlich und einfach zu verstehen. Ich habe mich für die Montage über den Zigarettenanzünder entschlossen. So kann man die Kamera auch während der Fahrt anschalten. Die Montage ist auch einfach. Man sollte am besten vorher an seinem Fahrzeug schauen ob man die Kabel irgendwo durchführen kann.
