Good Cooler Choice
Igloo Island Breeze 28 Qt. CoolerThis is a sturdily-built small cooler. I haven't taken it for an extended camping trip yet, but use it for weekly summer excursions to a distant market, and it has kept my purchases solidly frozen, using minimal ice, and produce from wilting in the heat, for the return trip. A cheapy syrofoam box might have done as well, but I do intend to take it camping in a couple weeks, where it will get some wear, and this sustainable little cooler looks like it will hold up for many seasons. It would be perfect for transporting a cold picnic to the beach and could double as a kid seat as well. It was on sale when I bought mine, and I feel it was a worthwhile purchase, as I will also use it for wintertime power outages.

Recomendable
I bought this cooler in order to ship donations of human milk via FedEx. It worked wonderfully, was able to fit over 300oz and 5lbs dry ice comfortably; it kept everything very cold and frozen and made it through the mail perfectly. The ergonomic handle was great -- the cooler weighed over 34lbs considering everything -- and while heavy, was manageable with the handle. The lid shuts tight and it won't open in a trunk or back seat of a car. It's tall enough to sit on if an extra seat at the campsite is needed.

Igloo cooler
Hubby loves his igloo cooler. Perfect size, easy to carry and holds ice well. We live in the southeast with high summer temps. Certainly not an orca cooler but this is a great alternative when u don't want to lug around a heavy cooler.

I use it every week when go to grocery store
I really love the size. I use it every week when go shopping to grocery store. It can keep the meats and frozen goods in a proper way and always keep them fresh and stayed in frozen status. It is good to have it. It can hold cans and drink as well. High enough to hold big bottle of coke.

Holds a bundle
Love the 28Q capacity, can hold six half gallon containers standing up with room on top or below for ice or additional shopping items such as a carton of eggs. With the addition of mounting hardware from JANDD Mountaineering (and a blinkie for night time use) converted a couple of these to bicycle panniers. Insulation maybe not the best but good enough for my purposes, only use these to transport perishables the short distance from the local convenience store home — like a ten minute trip. Lids shut tight, a definite plus on my bumpy ride.Don’t really understand the reason for the contour in back, inside curve makes it more difficult to fit items and the way it hangs from the carrying handle you’re not gonna be resting the exterior against your body. Only way it would make sense would be if there were an indent under the front so you could carry the cooler in the so-called football hold resting against your hip. Side indents are a helpful alternative for lifting up the Island Breeze but again, you probably wouldn’t want to walk around with it all loaded up pressed against your stomach, contoured or not!Have read that the handles often detach but no problems so far with mine after a couple months abuse. Anyway at the current low low price of $14.97 it’s likely the best value you’ll find in a comparable size cooler.

NIce carrying size
I bought this for my college daughter to take food back with her when she comes home. It is perfect for that and a manageable size to easily put in and out of a vehicle and for her to carry. I can't say how long it keeps things cold because we haven't tried it for longer than 2-3 hour periods. It is a handy size and does the job for what we need.

Cheaply made
Well, I have finally given up. I bought this cooler as a direct replacement for what I thought was the exact same cooler from Igloo, which I had purchased 10 years ago. Unfortunately the 4th time I used the new cooler the handle snapped in two. What the heck?? The return window with Amazon had just expired so I called the Igloo warranty service number , explained my problem and they said 'sorry" we'll get you a replacement handle out right away. What I received was a telescoping handle for a roller cooler--not what I need or want . I called them back and explained the situation and they said , we don't make that handle but we will send you a new cooler. Fine, BUT I just got notification from them that they have shipped another roller handle. Seriously??? What a ridiculous waste of time. The cooler is not made like the first one I had and certainly the customer service dept. is suffering from a lack of training. I would definitely not buy one of these again
