Excellent replacement
Original Yamaha replacement part runs around $70. This replacement was less than $20 with lanyard. Perfect fit for my 2006 15hp outboard motor. Unit appears to be of the same quality as the original. It's a little tricky to install, but anyone with a modicum of handyman skills can do it in less than an hour. Recommend that you attach a string to wires before removing old part. It makes it easier to run the new wires.

Fail in 6 months
This kill switch failed in 6 months and is now an open circuit resulting in no spark. It is hard to insert the plastic fob in the correct slot as the slot above is the same size. You think you have the fob in but you have inserted it above the correct slot.Do not buy!
