MORGAN & PAIGE925 Sterling Silver Genuine Marcasite Enamel Tree of Life 1-1/3" Pendant Necklace

This review is for this company’s sterling silver ”tree of life” pendant, which features a good deal of openwork between the frame and trunk & branches, with nine 2mm round Marcasites set into the border/frame, and what appears to be teal blue fading into emerald green plique â jour (transparent kiln-fired enamel), filling in the voids. As a former jewelry industry professional, even though I know from firsthand jewelry fabrication experience that this was never intended to be a substantial piece of heirloom quality jewelry, both I and my fiancée (around whose neck it now resides) really appreciate the lightness of its weight, especially her, since she’s the one charged with wearing it.The piece’s one obvious “weakest link” (yes, pun intended😅) is the chain it’s mounted on, which appears to have cost them every last bit of $0.37... Nonetheless, my fiancée absolutely flipped over the piece, so around her neck it shall remain, and we’ll just head to a nearby jewelry store for a new chain, a few days from now.My overall verdict? “P. P. C. C.” (= Pretty pendant, crappy chain”)!

I want to be completely fair. This is a pretty necklace. I've read a lot of reviews that say it is "flimsy". Mine isn't... it doesn't feel like there is anything that will come off or like it will break without some sort of abnormal force. My big problem is that the plastic backing (which I thought would be glass)is much much darker than the picture. Even if I hold the charm against a white computer screen, it doesn't look as light as the photo. Pretty, but not as pretty as what the photo promises. It's also a bit smaller than I had expected. It's almost a full inch tall and 3/4 inch wide. If you look at the bottom of the photo, you'll notice that the plastic is painted a deeper shade of teal. On the photo, it doesn't look very noticeable.... but on my charm the paint (or whatever it is) is much darker than the background and the swirls in the paint are very noticeable. Everything else about the photo is accurate. Although this is a pretty charm, it is absolutely not worth $50. I'd feel like I paid a fair price at around $20-$25. I do feel a bit ripped off. I bought several other tree of life charms, including one with the title "Sterling Silver Tree of Life Necklace Pendant with Box Chain" for $24.99 and that one looked even better than the picture. I was satisfied with that I got my money's worth.

Don't believe any of the bad reviews for this piece as I bought it for my girlfriend for Christmas and she has gotten TONS of compliments about it. All good! The main question has been where she got this piece so they could buy one too. She works in a pharmacy and see's tons of people daily. It is beautiful with very vibrant colors. Any one who see's this as a cheap piece of jewelry shouldn't be shopping here in the first place. Try a real expensive place and waste your money! Buy it, you'll like it!

i sent this out of the country as a gift and then read the reviews that it looks like from a gumball machine, it's flimsy, etc and thought "oh no, I hope these reviews are wrong" She sent me a thank you and said she was wearing it everyday. Then, I saw her in person a month later and she was wearing the pendant and it was beautiful, I was relieved and surprised. The quality looked fine and it looked as pictured. Great gift. No regrets here.

I too was a little disappointed when I received the pendant. I understand about the demo chain. The pendant is much more light weight than I expected but I suspect this may be due to my lack of understanding about how it is made. The magnification of the photo makes it appear that there are more marcasites around the edge. Aside from all this, I still like and will wear it with pleasure.

This pendant is even prettier than you can tell from the photo--delicate and sparkly. The blue-green background is a bit translucent--sort of a stained glass effect. The marcasite around the edge looks like tiny gunmetal-colored opaque rhinestones, and adds to the interest of the piece. The 18" chain is an excellent length, and is of reasonably good quality. It's a versatile piece of jewelry that can be dressed up or down--and I loved it so much that I had to buy another as a gift for my sister!

I love how the pendant looks! The shifting colors don't show up as well in the image as they do in person. The blues are gorgeous. While the pendant is beautiful, the chain was a bit more fine than I expected. I'm worried about how sturdy the chain will be as it seems so delicate. It's beautiful, but I'm just concerned about how it will handle every day wear and tear.

My wife and I have always loved the symbology of trees and this particular piece is a wonderful example of how beautiful nature can be. I bought this as a Christmas present and was impressed by the level of detail, the radiant shimmer of the background and the weight of the pendant. 18 inches is a perfect length to accent the beauty of a woman's neckline. All in all, this is a wonderful gift or purchase for anyone wanting a new and unique necklace.

the picture appears to be a combination of blue and turquois when it is actually green. I bought it to match earrings which are a combination of blue and turquois. It isn't anywhere like the earrings.

Necklace that came with in was a little to short in length for my wife, but she enjoyed the gift nonetheless

Very beautiful. The chain wasn't packed very well and ended up in a huge knot that I had to spend a half hour untying.

The turquoise looks black against skin. The turquoise colour only shows up with light behind it!
