Anton Strainer Bowl, Convenient Design – Removable Strainer – Dishwasher Safe – Premium Quality (White with Green Insert)

Here are some of my thoughts on this product. This will provide a better sense of what you are looking at, in addition to the description written by seller.- Good size bowl. Enough for two medium servings of pasta.- The bowl requires a small tilt for water to flow out. This is an advantage, in my view, because I can decide when to let the water out to avoid spilling liquid all over my kitchen floor.- The green strainer part is made of hard plastic that makes it difficult to wash with bare hands. Being hard plastic it is not moldable and does not form a tight fit with the bowl. There is a noticeable gap between the bowl and green strainer.Overall, a good buy if you don't have a strainer at home. I occasionally submit reviews for products I enjoy using so I got to buy this first unit at a lower price than listed here. If I rate this product 5 out of 5, I will purchase it again and will recommend the product to my friends. If I rate this product 4 out of 5, I will purchase it again in the case where there is no alternative option. If I rate this product 3 out of 5, I won’t purchase it again but I will keep using the current unit I have already purchased. Any rating below 2 out of 5 will be sent back to the returns department if returns are accepted, and I will not purchase anything from this company. I use this almost every day. It cleans small fruits and vegetables with ease. I also like the spout because it also acts as a handle. Its light and not bulky so convienent to store. Its a real nice product.

I would like to start by saying that this isn't your average strainer/colander. I have used many strainers in my life and you would think that aside from moving from the metal colander that would burn the tar out of your hand in a hot minute, that the basic idea behind a strainer is pretty straightforward. Well, I'm thrilled that this company is thinking outside the box! There are two huge differences in this strainer that I feel makes all the difference in the world. The first is how it drains the water. Instead of having holes all over, so you either have to hold it above the sink or make sure to have a clean sink for it to be used, this one has a solid flat bottom. This allows you to set it on the side of the sink and pour your contents into it and let it drain from there. I love this! This is such a time saver and so much more user friendly. The second big difference I noticed is that due to the shape and draining system, it allows you to soak fruits and vegetables in water for longer. There are many times when I feel that my fruits and vegetables are merely just getting the surface funk rinsed off of them. This design really allows you the time needed to thoroughly clean your fruits and vegetables. This is also a huge water saver! Overall I feel that this is a brilliant invention and well worth purchasing. I would definitely purchase this item again. It is made well, beautiful and functional! Nothing is more frustrating than trying to wash berries in a metal or plastic colander. The bits of dirt and stems that I am trying to get off the berries stick to the bottom of the colander and when I remove the fruit, neither the berries or the colander are thoroughly clean.I love this Anton Strainer Bowl because it's Simple to Use and my berries were ready to eat in no time at all!The Bowl is made of Stain Resistant, BPA Free Polypropylene and measures 9 1/2" from side to side (9" interior width) with a depth of approx. 5".The Sides of the bowl are 1/4" thick and easy to grasp.The Bottom features a 2 1/2" Round, Flat Surface which allows it to be set at the side of the counter with the spout facing the sink.There is a Slanted 3" long Oval Spout with a 1 1/4" Opening at the End of the Spout molded into one side of the bowl, which allows water and undesirable bits of dirt, leaves and stems to pass through a Honeycomb Designed Insert. The Insert is removable and easy to clean.For testing purposes I washed both Strawberries and Blueberries. The design of my counter top around the sink has a raised edge that was not wide enough to set the bowl flat, so I placed the bottom of the bowl on the palm of my hand, secured the edge with my fingers and positioned the bowl under my faucet. While the water was running over the berries, I simply moved the bowl in a circular motion to rinse the fruit well.After only 2 minutes, I was able to allow any remaining water to drain through the spout. The berries remained in the bowl until l transfered them to a paper towel that I had set on the counter before beginning the washing process. Upon inspection of the berries I was delighted to see they were thoroughly clean and ready to eat!I was especially pleased to find that the Bowl and Filter were as easy to clean as the berries were.I simply removed the Honeycomb Filter, gave it and the bowl a quick rinse and left them in the dish drain to dry.There were no traces of blueberry stains anywhere on the white surface of this Strainer Bowl.I look forward to using this handy Strainer Bowl to wash all of my fresh fruits and vegetables!I am so pleased to have been given the opportunity to purchase this awesome Anton Strainer Bowl at a discounted cost in exchange for testing and offering my honest, unbiased opinion, which I have provided.I will be purchasing another at the reasonable asking price to gift to my mother for Christmas and I have no doubt that she will be as pleased with it's performance as I am.
