Package Quantity:1 | Size:Aerosol Spray 4oz Boeshield T-9 was developed and licensed by global aerospace leader, the Boeing company, to fill a need for high-performance, long-term metal protection and lubrication. T-9's rust preventative spray uses a unique formulation of solvent carrier and paraffin wax coating engineered to penetrate crevices deeply, displace moisture, dissolve minor corrosion, and leave a clean, waxy coating with lasting durability-without using Teflon, Silicone, fluorocarbons, mek, or acetone. Whether it be automotive, bicycle, industrial, lawn and garden, marine, RV or tools, T-9 continues to be the best option for rust prevention and waterproof lubrication.

Waste of Money
The propellent stopped working about 1/4 of the way through the can. This was my second and last can of Boeshield. The first can died a similar death, but I chalked that up to age as it had been on my shelf for a year or so. Apparently Amazon won't allow return of "flammable" aerosol products, which makes no sense considering they were eager to sell and ship it to me in the first place. It cost me $12.98 to learn my lesson. Buyer beware.

Product might be amazing, but...
First use and I sprayed five or six times, a little spray on car door hinges, and there was no more aerosol. I have a full can here and can't use it. Product might be amazing but I can't use it. BOTH CANS FAILED after three to five sprays.

Nothing But Bad Luck with The 4oz Cans
The first time I bought the 4oz can's from Amazon I experienced very short life as the propellant seemed to fizzle out before I had even used half the can. Whenever I buy this product from a bike shop I usually Dont have issues with the propellant failing before the contents are spent but every time I buy them through Amazon I end up throwing away dead, half used, cans. I'm trying the larger volume cans next to see if I experience the same thing. Someone needs to look into this.

When rain gets on your chain
Best and cleanest bike chain lube I have used. I have been riding year 'round and through messy winters for years. This does not attract dirt like an oil does. The spray can and the 4-oz. bottle both have their pros and cons. On a chain the spray does work but there is over-spray you have to control with a rag, involving wasted product. With the bottle, the dropper cap is downright miserly, delivering literally a drop at a time. I used a push pin to slightly enlarge the bottle opening. So with the chain newly coated, I might ride the bike then wipe of the excess the next day. This leaves behind the most dirt-repellent coating of any lube I know so far. Before installing a new gear cluster I used the spray on it then let it dry a long time, leaving a non- dirt- attracting lubricated surface. Granted, exposed drive chains on bikes are an imperfect system, and nothing short of a sealed enclosure can prevent the attack of salt, winter mess and rain on bike parts. Add to that my imperfect maintenance and this turns out to be the best solution so far.

in terms of long-term lubrication far better than WD-40
If it's developed by Boeing and good enough for aircraft then it got to be good enough for my purposes! The T9 sprays on as a clear liquid and once the volatile compounds have evaporated leaves a highly persistent waxy like lubricant film on the surface that either protects from corrosion very well or ensures good lubrication over long periods of time.
