I really like this cover. It's metal and makes it look better than new. The end has a spot for a strap, which is included, instead of a flimsy ring spot that can break. The key ring that comes with it is a carabineer style and too think to put keys directly on. It's great for clipping your other keys to it in another ring. Then you can just pull them off without removing the key from the ignition if you need to. Handy for unlocking my Tuffy glove box or console. The ring is also good for clipping these on your belt loop or backpack. I tested to see if it reduced range. Maybe 5 or 10 feet at most. I'm good with that. The two pieces lock together with tabs on the key end and then a screw on the strap end. They include the Allen wrench you need to tighten the screw.

Love the design and the look. The product came super fast. I think this is a major upgrade to the stoke plastic key. Wayyy less likely to break than that thin plastic loop on the OEM key. I’m excited to get on the road hope you enjoy the video too.

I bought this because one half of my key fob broke and I didn't want to mess with replacing it or tearing it apart to fix. This cover is a great alternative and GOES OVER your fob. Do not take your fob off and try to use this without it. It's extremely well made, heavy duty, durable and fits perfectly. It's great protection if you drop your fob. It comes with its own little wrench so make sure to look for it when you open the box. You'll need to keep this wrench handy if you're on the move and need to switch out your fob battery. It takes a little bit of time and pressure to get this seated correctly and flush so be patient and don't start using a hammer. It'll fit providing this is the right cover for your fob. Do your due diligence. I love this and the materials it's made from. It's for my 2008 JKU.

Super easy to install and looks great, even comes with the Allen key to secure it. Nice and solid, and doesn't add much overall size. I use mine on my spare, and I also like the clip that it comes with as well.Couple personal preference notes:• One of my photos shows the key in half of the cover, you should actually put the key in the other side first, as it kind of 'hinges' onto the lower portion.• I might do is add some black to cover the word “JEEP” that shows on the back side where the star is.At initial review, I really have nothing negative to say about it - will update as time goes on if necessary. I'd recommend it if you're looking for something like this, it's not plastic junk, it's got some heft to it.Update:Discovered that when installed, the operational distance severely decreases. Had to dock a couple stars for that until resolved.
