My City

This is one of my absolute favorite kids books because the illustrations are gorgeous and you can narrate through it however you want; you’re not stuck reading the same thing over and over. I never get tired of looking at this book with my daughter.

The paintings are great. Very inspiring even for adults(I’m an art student). But there’s barely no story inside(tell me why the kid wants to go all the way around the city just to post a letter in the mailbox which is in front of his house), I have no idea how to explain it to my son. Clearly the author have no experience as a story telling parent.
