Years later pleased purchase
Had for 2 years in a Challenger. 2 10โs and 1 12. During the 1st months I drove to places like Las Vegas to Reno and Las Vegas to Phoenix when I stayed in Vegas. Never overheated. Never just randomly shut off and if you know them are hours of constant use. Now back in Ohio I still have it, still going strong and no problems. Also have a Pioneer radio.

Overheats rms ratings fake
Terrible subwoofer, the rms ratings are completely false not even half the number it claims. Pushing one skar 12โ it overheats in 40 mins and even when I turned the power down the outcome is the same. I did more research and learned that mostly all planet audio RMS ratings are not true at all. Will never go with planet audio and alternative is skar itโs new a some may never heard of them but itโs worth the extra bucks to be able to get the RMS you need and want for the bass heads.

Great amp, terrible terminals! Come on guys, Phillips head screws, square washers? It's 2017, time for set screw terminals
For the money this is a good deal. This amp comes within 75 watts of the 1500w@2ohm rating. I have it pushing 2 mtx 7512-22 (7500 series 12's), in a slot ported box, tuned @43hz and it Beats, hard. Even though the subs could handle one of these amps each, it pushes plenty of power with zero heat or clipping issues. My only issue, and it is quite a big problem if you ask me, hence the 3 star rating instead of 5. Being that it is 2017 and the nail was upgraded a century ago when flat head screw showed up, then everyone realized that they were crap once they saw a Phillips head screw. Well Phillips screws are the new flathead. Due to the arrival of the socket head cap screw or "Allen head" and the torx head or "star bit" screw. Please planet audio, the terminal screws kill the quality feel of this and all of your amplifiers. I know that they cost a little more, especially if you were to do it right and use a set screw type terminal. I for one could do without the light up emblem and less. Screw a nice emblem to the amp, toss all the gimmick lights and use the $ that was being wasted and upgrade the hardware on your entire line of amplifiers and watch how much it will affect your product ratings and reviews. Not only are they Phillips, but they are cheap, super soft, and just like a girl named Roxy, made to strip.
