Q: I just received this kit and the instructions say the colors included are magenta, turquoise and yellow but bottle tops are red blue yellow??

It only comes with red, blue, and yellow. You have to mix the various colors to make the other options you want. It should have came with instructions on how to make all the other options. Hope that helps!

Q: Can Jacquard and Tulip kits be mixed?

Well, I have used both types of dye. The Jacquard takes an extra step that Tulip does not. The Jacquard colors are also much brighter and vivid when complete. I have never mixed them.

Q: Do you have to use 100% cotton fabric itemsor will it work on cotton/poly blends?

Yes. You need to use 100% cotton or other natural fabric for best results. If you want to dye poly, it takes a special product for synthetics. If you dye with blends, the poly part will not dye. The cotton part will. It might be an interesting effect. Try a small piece and see what you get. Plus, things loose a lot of brightness as the colors set and dry. And you may lose more color when you first wash the garment. And that kit will not dye 15 shirts. More like 5.
