ClubmanSuperhold Styling Gel, 16 oz

I bought this due to all the overwhelming reviews people give on Clubman products. This tub is HUGE, I mean for the price it'll be another few months before I use it all!I usually do the comb-over look, it's been my daily gel now but I regret getting the super hold as it hardens my hair like none other. It definitely holds it but maybe I was thinking of this as more of a pomade type of product as opposed to some of those super crazy holding gels that harden your hair. I've had nights were I fell asleep with my hair gel still in, still strong hold in the morning.The positive is that this stuff easily comes out with just a little water and a towel. It won't mess up entirely in rain, depending how long your out there and the exposure. Also it's been about two months since I purchased and the tub isn't even a quarter gone yet. It could last a lifetime when I switch to pomade again. People talk about the smell but I don't really notice it.Negatives is just the hardening of the hair, it tend to play with my hair and split it apart but that's a personal problem. It still looks nice and all but I was hoping for a soft natural look.I will still recommend this product to anyone, I would just suggest getting the normal gel instead of the super hold unless they like the hair to harden. Hey, OK, I'll admit it. I'm no longer a young man. My hair realizes that too, and will no longer stay nice and flat when I comb it back (I've been told it's because of the gray)(that for some reason I don't see; it still looks blond to me). Anyway, it seems like I've been on a constant hunt for a product that will keep my hair where I want it (I'm very fortunate and still have great hair)(so I'm told regularly). This was very reasonably priced and has good reviews overall, so I figured I'd try it. It works well, though there's never any doubt that you have product holding you hair in place. Plus, as others have noted, you will smell like that barber shop that you used to go to (and/or may still). That's not necessarily a bad thing, since as with many things now a days, what's old in new again. I would buy it again (though I doubt I'll have to; the tub should last a lifetime), and would recommend it.

I love the line of Clubman products but have never tried the Superhold gel until now. In a nutshell, the smell is very similar to the original aftershave but does not linger. I have one complaint. This gel really isn't as super of a hold as I could like. I have thick hair which is very frizzy and need a heavy gel. Don't get me wrong, the gel works but not as well as other super hold gels I've used. It comes in a giant tub and will last a guy with average hair forever. I had been using Crew gel but it flakes and Clubman doesn't. Delivery was fast. For the money, you really can't go wrong with this stuff as long as you understand that the term "superhold" is subjective and depends on your hair type. Give it a try and you probably won't be disappointed.

Ok, fellas. I see this product is designed for and targeted to men. But really, it is like the setting gels we gals used to be able to get waaaay back when - before gels became like runny clear lotions instead of stand-up goop. Personally, I like the stand-up goop. It keeps my hair managed and in place. No more fly-away hair, blowing in my face making me want to shave my head! The scent is not so pronouncedly masculine for a woman and in any event, the scent fades quickly.So gals, ignore the guy on the label and the product name of ClubMAN. If you want something that keeps that hair in place without being stiff, if you want your hair to stay where you put, comb, or set it, Pinaud Clubman works for guys and gals.

i used to use axe gel. my barber turned me on to this gel. its so much better quality & the price is unbeatable! its like getting nearly 10x s the product for the money. i use the green when freshly cut for week or so, then this super hold as my hair gets longer. only question i have, and its an honest one, is how is this product not destroying axe, along with other competitors in sales? i had never heard of it prior to that day. im a believer in their product line now & they have a faithful customer in me. now if theyll only offer me a job for, say 70-80k to span the globe educating people on what theyve been missing, life would be great! butseriously, this product line is what youre looking for, trust me

I always used the green original gel and decided to try this one out for the stronger hold. I think it works great just as I imagine it would, its definetly a stronger hold than the original green one but the only thing I did not like is that it does not have as nice of a scent as the original green one it does. If they can simply put a better scent on it I think it would improve it 100% , as for the scent that it has its nothing bad but nothing special simply Blah, But overall I do recommend if you want a stronger hold.

This is a darn good hair gel. The smell is not overwhelming and can be best described as mild and clean. The best part is that the hold will last all day and if applied on wet hair will comb very easily. The product does apply a slightly wet look and the hair does feel hardened to the touch, however there is no flaking or other textural issues, and you can't really expect a gel to leave the hair soft and pillowy, the point of a strong hold is that you can't run your fingers through the hair that easily. I have very thick strands of hair so I definitely need this super hold variety.

Oh my god this thing is awesome. not sure where this brand has been hiding and why its not more popular. keeps my completely unmanagable hair in check all day. i tried to let my hair grow out for the first time and do a slick sideways look. but my hair with length just became insanely wavy and would ridiculously puffy with a bunch of other hair gels or it would need a very thick layer of gel. this just works brilliantly without the hair feeling all hard and dry. it also last a while. the second day all i ahve to do is moisten it a little bit and style it again and its ready to go. cant beat this for the price.

Sadly I had high hopes and expectations for this product as I have used Clubman products before and liked them. This however is not a superhold gel....in fact, I wouldn't qualify it as a "hold". Didn't work at all but I guess it may depend on hair type. Other gels purchased at pharmacies, which said superhold typically have worked for me. In this case, it was a total bust.
