This is honestly a review more for the pressure cooker itself than for the gasket. I bought the 12 quart Duromatic and, while the quality of the cooker itself is good, I've only had the appliance for a year and half. The gasket started regularly shooting steam out of the side when the cooker reached high pressure and the company recommended that I replace the gasket. I am going to try this solution and will offer another review after use, but if this doesn't do the trick I am going to barrage Kuhn Rikon with bad reviews. The replacement gasket for my appliance is $40, on top of around $400 for the appliance, and it really should have lasted much longer. The company should spend some money on R & D for better gaskets if they're going to charge such high prices for their products.

I purchase a new 1719 Duromatic in January 2014, used it about 6 times and it started shooting steam out of the side when up to pressure. Changing the gasket position or holding it in didn't work. I love this cooker but disappointed with the gasket. After all, this is the Porsche of pressure cookes supposedly. I'm waiting on a new gasket and we'll see what happens. I agree with the previous reviewer, a little more R & D on the gasket would have helped, especially if you're going to charge $400 for the cooker and $40 for the replacement gasket.

I bought this because my Kuhn Rikon Duromatic started losing it's seal about year after buying it. I have spent the money and replaced the ring but the pressure cooker has never formed a seal again. I have tried using a small amount of oil on the ring, but it will not seal. A really expensive pressure cooker for one year's use. I certainly won't be spending that kind of money for this pressure cooker again.

La goma se ajusta sin problemas a la olla y funciona todo perfectamente, la única pega es el precio, más de 35 euros por una goma de silicona, aunque sea original, creo que es muy cara.
