Very nice set

One of the best Hobbit sets. If you're trying to choose, this one was great. First off, this includes several of the favorite characters: Bilbo, Bard, AND Thorin, plus the guard and the Master (he has a cape); if you buy lego sets, you know this is hard to find. If you look at the number of pieces per price (I paid), this is a good deal. It's a pretty good size and has individual parts, like the boat, as well as detailed indoor parts (like the Bag End one if you've seen the inside of that), funny accessories and a catapult. The larger ones from the Hobbit, like the battle, look a lot like the Helms Deep set from LotR. This one, like Bag End, is very pretty when finished.If for some reason you don't know anything about legos, easy to read instructions are included and it is fun to put together, helping with fine motor skills, instructions following, spatial relationships, and concentration. Parts are very small and painful when stepped on. Very small sets are put together very quickly, fun over quickly. Very large sets can be tedious. This is a good choice.

As a The Hobbit fan, this lego was a must have. Did not regret my purchase. The only thing I would love to see if those legos are a bit less expensive. Other than that, great purchase, my kids are having lot of fun constructing and playing with. I also got other The Hobbit sets.

He loved it, had it built within one day, it has some very nice details. Legos are always a hit.
