The bad boy of tea kettles
Kettle, you are sleek beautiful graceful handsome and a pleasure to look at. Eye candy for my stove. I wanna be as gorgeous as you.BUT your spout lid became dysfunctional after only three presses AND I need TWO potholders when pouring: one for the handle and the other to keep the spout lid open. You were only $15 (red) so I got reasonable value and won’t return you. Every time I look at you I feel annoyed because you behave so badly—you wanna burn me each time I use you—and delighted by your beauty. At least you’re quiet. You don’t whistle. You sound like a mild gust of wind … subliminally relaxing, exactly the opposite of why “whistling” is a desired kettle feature. As your song is useless, it is good that I didn’t expect a whistling kettle.A FEW WEEKS LATER:o Whistling occurs if the kettle is less than 1/3 full—a robust whistle. This is well below the "fill to here" sticker that was on the new kettle.o If I set the gas heat on very low during heating, I can hold the handle while pouring WITHOUT a pot holder, although I remain fearful of being burned.o There is a metal V-piece that keeps falling out of the spout. Finally, I put the V-piece in so it stays put (well, for a week or so), but the spout lid is awkward to use, especially when filling the kettle.o Just before pouring, I put a stick between the spout and lid to jam open the lid, so I can pour without using a pot holder. Then, after pouring, I remove the stick.o The blue version is now on sale for $12! It's a gorgeous cobalt blue. I will probably get a couple, because it's such a nice deal, even with the functional issues ... it is so graceful looking and a good size for me. (Kate Spade is selling a private label larger version of this kettle for $40-60). Chantal sells a kettle about the same size as this for $110.o I use my kettle once or twice daily. Appreciation of its beautiful design occurs each time I use it.

Not totally pleased
The appearance and color are great and it has a large capacity. Heats well and whistles properly. However, the lid is too tightly sealed—takes a tremendous effort to pull off which makes it a bit of a safety concern for possible spilled boiling temp water. Also, you do need a hot pad to open the spout and though the handle is sturdy, it does add extra weight to the pot.Maybe better suited for the younger folks who have a little more oomph and strength.

Beautiful Visually. Limited in Function.
The instructions that come with the kettle are not disclosed on this listing, and they really need to be:-Must NOT be used on high heat (high heat will damage the kettle!)-Must not be filled more than half full (a hard to see/read, transparent, not heat-safe sticker on the kettle indicates this max fill line.)-Must use TWO potholders to protect both hands, in order to carefully pour heated water- one potholder: to keep the steam whistle up (it does not remain in up position when I tried it) and the other potholder: for the handle, which gets very hot. The handle is positioned to be directly over the lid, through which steam also escapes out of. The instructions state that you must be very careful and avoid being burned from steam.-Must wash kettle after every use and only once it is cooled down, "especially the spout"-Must not heat on any burner that is larger than the bottom of the kettle-Must not drop kettle; dropping will break the kettle's exteriorIn addition to these instructions and the functionality of the kettle they impact, it's good to know that:-the lid is very fussy to get open and also fussy to get closed. It has pieces punched in the lid and slightly bent inwards, that do keep the lid from falling off once it is in place, but there is no such alignment on the inside of the top of the pot. This makes the lid a struggle to get on when the kettle is filled of water, and a struggle to get it off as well.-the handle can NOT be adjusted (the screws on it are cemented somehow in place; I thought I would be able to adjust the handle. Could not get them loose with serious elbow grease.)-The actual maximum quantity of water you can heat in this kettle is, according to the instructions, literally HALF the capacity amount that the listing boasts.I found this disappointing. Not being able to heat on high is a deal breaker for me. I expect that a stainless steel vessel dedicated for heating water can handle more than the medium heat setting. The warnings/instructions that came with the kettle need to be on this listing. Nobody likes feeling like they were tricked/cheated. You expect an item to be functional and helpful.I WOULD recommend this kettle to anyone with a tea pot collection. It's very beautiful to look at. The color is lustrous and shiny, and the shape is aesthetically very pleasing. At under $15 its price point is good for a display.Who I would NOT recommend this kettle to is anyone who is looking for an easy-to-use, no fuss, safe kettle with stainless steel interior, that has a decent capacity and can be heated quickly for instant noodles or a nice big cup of tea.

It’s just ok
I don’t love this teapot. It’s a cute color but that’s about it. The lid is slightly difficult to take on and off but the most annoying thing is this, if you don’t dry off the bottom COMPLETELY, the water between the enamel bottom and the glass cooktop makes a pop and sizzle sound that is terrible. Other than this it’s ok

Good quality
This kettle is well made the only problem is you have to manually lift the spout. Other then that it's is good.

Love the color! Works well, does it's job
Ok, so this is just a tea kettle, not really much to say. But the blue color is very pretty and it does its job very well! The handle stays cool enough to grab once the water comes to a boil. Same with the spout cover when I need to open it to pour water out into my mugThe only one little thing that I don't like, is when you pull the cover off, water splashes out. I don't know if it's condensation or if water gets trapped up inside the cover when it's boiling, but every time I take the cover off to add more water, there is always a little bit of water that comes out with it. But maybe that's just user error lol! ?!?! That's my reason for 4 stars instead of 5

Belle qualité
La Couleur réelle est moins bleue et tire plus sur le violacé en vrai que sur la photo. Seule déception

No good
Burning hazard. Boil up some water you better not touch that handle. Supposed to be nice gift for Mother’s Day and instead I’m giving everyone who uses it burnt fingers. Why was it made with just metal.
