Vegetable Glycerin...Hair, Skin, Romance
You may already know that vegetable glycerin is an excellent oil free moisturizer for skin and hair. I use it in my body products, hair and to seal in my facial and neck oil once applied. A drop or two works beautifully--even under makeup and it lasts all day. Plus, you can add essential or fragrance oil for added scent. Two of my favorite uses for vegetable glycerin, however, is in warming massage body oils and warming edible body oils. Apply this to areas of the skin and blow for an incredibly warming sensation. Add to food grade vegetable or nut oil and add food grade natural flavor (or food grade essential oil) and you will have a healthier alternative than what you will find in stores. The added benefit is that your special love will LOVEEEE this. The vegetable glycerin offered by Heritage Store seems to be pure and of good quality. The label also states that it was grown organically and is food safe. Just remember, diabetics should not consume glycerin as it behaves similar to sugar.

Overall a solid add to my beauty routine
I stopped using lotions for the most part and replaced with food grade natural products. I like vegetable glycerin, however it does have a bit of a sticky feel which I don't like all over my body. I mix it with jojoba oil to cancel out the stickiness - which works well. It does a great job making my skin look nice and hydrated - my face and hands, but tends to be too sticky/rich on my hands to keep on long term. I'd recommend it but make sure to mix with an oil. It absorbs well into the skin!

Skin lotion.
Living in Nevada'a high desert tends to dry ones skin. This vegetable glycerin is a great solution to dry skin. As the glycerin is a little thick I mix it with Rosewater and Glycerin to thin it out. I love this combination for use after showers.

Here's the story...
Wanted to try out a Vitamin C serum recipe I found on Pinterest.Had never used or tried Glycerin prior to this purchase. It worked as intended...but:1.) I'm not 100% convinced it's "best" ((or necessary)) for your skin2.) It's def sticky and somewhat sweet3.) It came as advertised and seems to be a reputable brand//companyIn summary:I would buy it again (purpose specific) but wouldn't recommend it for topical applications to the face. :)
