Q: How easy is it to remove the Sonos speakers from the mount? I want to use them outside, but obviously don't want to leave them there permanently?

Hi There, Thanks for your question. It's very easy to remove them once installed

Q: Pictures don't show the back side of the bracket. Do the brackets allow access to the ethernet port on the back of the speakers?

I have the Sonos Play 1 mounted on it and yes there is a square hole just below the mount that allows access to the ethernet port.

Q: Will these work with yamaha ns-b40 speakers? they go with the yamaha yht-4930ubl home theater system.

Work fine with Sonos speakers, but have no idea about Yamaha.

Q: What's the diameter of the notch? I'm trying to feed my wire thriugh it and into the drywall to bury it and want to cover it with a grommet.

If I understand your question, I encourage you to check with your local building codes. I can’t imagine any electrical code that would allow the Sonos electrical cord to be burried behind drywall.
