La Riche Directions Semi-Permanent Hair Dye - Flamingo Pink (2 Tubs)

Always love directions colour. This pink is very bright (on prelightened hair) stands out and has good hold. Always use directions and will always recommend for anyone looking for bright colours .

I've used Flamingo Pink for decades, literally. Obviously I've tried other brands and many pinks but this is my favourite.It will give a pinkish tinge if used on unbleached hair, but to get the full oooomph it's much better used on previously bleached hair.I'm naturally blonde, but give it a quick lift every other month, then use Directions on clean dry hair.This shade is a fabulous vibrant rich pink, it lasts well and when it starts to fade it's still pretty.Plus as it doesn't contain bleach it's quite moisturising.Happy to recommend.Thanks for reading, I hope you find this review helpful.

So before I get into this I would like to put it out there that the tubs are NOT 100 ml but 88 ml and smell like putty.Before dying:My hair was an already faded mix of Lime crime Unicorn hair dye colour: Valentine as well as Adore Raspberry twist which had left my hair in a mix of faded to almost blond mid to ends and red roots. I bought two tubs of this brand and they just about covered my entire head, I have just below the shoulder hair that is semi thick.Look at the first three pictures for reference.During dying:I had my friend help me with the process, the dye came out pretty well and was actually a lot brighter colour than it left my hair, it went on like jam does to toast. A mixture between goo and water but the consistency was closer to that of jam. No conditioner was needed to mix as this is a direct dye.Look at the fourth picture for reference.I decided to ignore the instructions on the tub and leave it for 30 mins as dye needs just that amount of time to fully activate and seep into the hair. I then used a plastic bag to wrap it up and keep it out of the way.Washing out dye:BEWARE this dye stains both skin and fabrics! I used cold to lukewarm water to ensure the least amount of bleeding making sure to rinse out the entire dye still left in my head. I then used coconut conditioner to seal it all together.Look at the picture with an emoji in it, this is it when it's dried.I waited until I showered a couple days later to fully reveal if this brings up to the test, will it wash out in the first wash?No, only barely bled out during the cold to lukewarm shower to prevent bleeding, I used minimal shampoo and focused primarily on my scalp for further prevention. My hair has come out healthy and with minimal signs of frizz.Look at the final picture for reference.Overall, this dye has worked really well and for the price that I got it at is well done. I really recommend this to anyone that is trying it out just beware of the putty smell as it lingers.

Such good colour payoff and even when I got it all on my skin, it came off pretty well. I also like how the colour fades, it doesn’t just disappear, it almost just goes down levels

Directions is my go to brand, I've tried others and my hair loves directions. It soaks up the dye and lasts for a decent time, depending on colour. I wash my hair twice a week, and within a month the pink needs to be reapplied. Pink is a soft colour and it is semi permanent so it will fade depending on your hair care routine but hands down my best brand! 4 pots for this price is as good as whole sale prices!
