Awesome knife!
Sharp out of the box. Skinned 2 deer and 2 elk with it, without any added touch up. Great knife. Just know it is high carbon steel, and will rust if you do not take care to keep it dry and oiled.

Rusty
It’s interesting— I love my skinning knife more than any I’ve ever owned— I’ve processed multiple well cut deer, squirrels, and and elk with it. It came out of the box sharp enough to shave my face with it, and sustained it’s edge for as long as I would have hoped for. However, I’m pretty disappointed that it rusts so quickly. I find that if this knife is left with ANY amount of moisture on it overnight, it will become a breeding ground for rust. Which hasn’t been conducive for backpacking hunting trips, and regular hunting use for that matter. You can tell these knives are made with passion for the outdoors and for their reliability, but they really need to solve this issue before they build that poor reputation. It’s just not unrealistic to have a rust prone knife sold for purposes that involve many uncontrollably moist elements, but it also becomes a safety hazard. Hope y’all at KOA see this, because I would love to be a lifelong customer!
