Wounded Souls (The L.A. Metro Series Book 3)

A top-notch story!
Two wounded souls drawn together by their shared pain! Logan is restless and harbors a dark secret. She is determine never to get close to anyone ever again. Can she finally stop running from the past? Dale has her own pain from the past and she has given up finding happiness again. Dale thinks she can never be the woman she was once before. They deal both in their own way with tormenting memories. The characters are, as in all her other books, very captivating and real. They are characters you care about. The story plot is excellent and the writing is smooth. Illustrating the hardships of having a disability is done in a superb way. It was really lovely how it all played out. Specially the first intimate moment together. This is a beautiful story of love being able to conquer it all. The only thing I regret is that we get to see so little of the key players from the previous parts. But hey, that's because I love all the characters from this series and I like to keep track of their life. Again a top-notch story by this author.

A GREAT READ BUT ALAS AND ALACK
I always anxiously await Ms Nolan's next book simply because they are great reads. The story line has been described by other reviewers. As with all of Ms. Nolan's novels this is a well written page turner.Alas and Alack!! I'm sad because this appears to be the last book in the LA Metro series. Ms Nolan has a great talent in writing authentic medical stories. I hope she continues to do so. I anxiously await her next novel. ChristieP

Great story that left me wanting more...
Wonderful story, especially considering the subject matter and the sensitive nature of the characters personal issues... I'm a devoted Jess/Kim and Sam/Riley fan, and I REALLY hope Ms. Nolan plans on writing more about those characters, but I think Logan and Dale are worth more stories too... Not going to lie, but I was actually disappointed that Kim/Jess/Riley/Sam didn't feature more prominently in this book... it really was an amazing book and I hope to read more about them in the future...

More enjoyable stories to tell from LA Metro
There's more stories to tell from LA Metro hospital and what a treat it is. Jess and Kim plus Sam and Riley make their appearances but this story is all about the newest staff doctors on the overnight shift with Dale and Logan. Their story is a slow burn of carefully tearing down walls around wounded hearts, body image issues, and painful loss. Both have been through hell and it's not so easy to trust again and the plot respects that and doesn't rush their love story. Another entertaining book in this excellent series.

Really wonderful book!
Beautifully written! Couldn't put this book down, I just had to know how Logan and Dale would be able to put away the past. One was so emotionally wounded and the other physically. How do you let go of what happened and learn to trust again? The story will truly grab your heart and take you away to another great love story. I highly recommend this and hope there will be more to this series. Thanks to the author for another wonderful book!

Good book!
Really liked this book! I enjoyed the characters very much including sweet Drake. Both Dale and Logan's struggles were very poignant and very telling for people dealing with issues of body image as a result of traumatic events. Got confused with Reilly and Sam. I thought in the previous book they lived inSan Diego. Is there another book about their now being in Los Angeles and their story evolving? Very good story. Keep them coming!

Something new
It's a good book but it can never live up to the other 2. I found it to be a little slow not as good as the first one. But it all its a good book

Wounded Souls -- Great Title
Wounded Souls could not have a more appropriate title. Each of these two has her own wounds, and it takes the two of them working together to alleviate the pains they live with. In reading this book, I learned about doctors going and filling in when a hospital has a temporary vacancy; the details of living with a prosthesis; great programs by the VA; etc. It really is a good read. I felt very proud of the characters.

Another masterpiece in the LA Metro series
I'm a big fan of R J Nolan and her LA Metro series so this addition was eagerly awaited. Although I think the storyline lacked some of the edge of earlier works, it was still a good read, dealing with how individuals overcome past hurts, mental and physical. Nolan has a really good understanding of the mental processes of people who have been hurt or experienced trauma, how this holds people back from pursuing happiness and what it takes to help someone through this (in some ways, this is a how you can help someone going through something like this in your life and I appreciated this aspect of the story as much as the rest). In this book, two independent and stubborn women have given up on the idea of ever having a relationship ... a mix of survivor guilt, shame, lack of good body image, the idea that they don't deserve happiness, fear of letting people in, not accepting help ..... wounded souls is a good description. There are chameo appearances of the McKenna's from earlier books. Now I'd like a book about what happened between the previous book and this one, cos there are some interesting bits referred to in the text that shows some developments of the characters and plots from the previous books.

Good
On reading this book found it was just quite repeating itself from the previous one, with the exception that these were wounded people.Took awhile to figure out the American words for items in the hospital. At the end lots of questions left unanswered about what had happend to some of the characters .Little disappointing.

Wow and wow again!
Ok I loved this book and even read it in an afternoon which is a new record for me. A few surprises as well. All i'm willing to say is.....Sam pregnant!! Ok that was the biggest. It says there's only three books in the series. RJ you can't leave it here. So many questions. Please need a fourth. Back to the book. I literally couldn't put it down, whenever I thought it would be a good time to take a break I couldn't because something else was happening. Can't wait for another great book from this wonderful author. Thank you for an awesome read.

Another winner
I have always loved RJ Nolan's L A Metro Books. They are so engrossing and easy to read. The characters, Dale, Logan and even Drake seem so real that they feel like good friends. The plot of the story, being not only about the hospital, but also about the war veterans and involving Drake the 'wonder dog' trained to assist, made a very interesting and encompassing story. There is also a good balance of pathos and humour! After two long evenings reading this book I look forward to many more by RJ Nolan

Another great book
I really like this author, I always get into the characters and you can’t help but like these somewhat troubled souls. Great storyline and interaction of characters from her other books (I love that)
