B & R Plastics 152-6BK E-Z Foldz Black 15" 'Neat Seat' Step Stool/Seat

This is the perfect step stool to store in my minivan for when I need to access the roof of the van (i'm 6' 2", so if you are significantly shorter, it may not be good for you.) It sets up in seconds, and because it folds flat, it is very easy to store. As long as it is fully opened up, it is very sturdy under my 200lbs weight. The standing/sitting surface is smaller than the shorter version, so you have to be a little careful of your foot placement. Nonetheless, it's very useful and the perfect height for my purposes.

At less than 5’2”, I am vertically challenged, and my bedroom closet shelf is 79” high, which is a useless height for me. Needless to say that for years, I have tried tossing things that are not often used up to that high shelf, but unfortunately, anything that has been successfully tossed up has then remained, since I am unable to retrieve them. Therefore, that badly needed closet space has never been accessible.This easy fold-up stool only weighs 3 lbs. It has provided me with an extra 15” so that I can easily reach that height and I am able to reclaim all my items that have previously been beyond my reach. The top or seat of the stool is approximately 9” x 11” enough room to place my feet and stand comfortably. I find the stool to be extremely sturdy, it does not tip or tilt on either hard floors or carpet. The plastic is smooth and comfortable to step with bare feet, but it is not slippery. It opens up effortlessly, and the plastic notches glide, securely locking the top into place. Closing the stool is also simple, by gently pressing in both sides. When the stool is closed, the width measures less than 2”, so it can be stored in a very small slot of space.Sometimes when you are able to find a device that fulfills a very specific need; it just makes life a little easier, and this is one of those items.

EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!!!I was so excited to get this 15" stool. I have their 12" stool which was extremely sturdy and broader top than this but it wasn't tall enough to get me to the top shelves. So when I saw this, I got it and was so happy.But I am writing this review after one of the legs buckled under me causing me to fall over - badly bang my head and severely bruised my hand that I used to help break my fall. I don't know yet if I broke my hand.What happened is that one of the corner legs just split apart -- split right along its edge which is joined together by plastic balls along one edge fitting into sockets along the other edge. The plastic balls just slipped out of their socket and - bang! I am flying to the floor.Thank goodness I was in a room with carpeting, and just missed my desk or I would have severely injured myself and likely have knocked myself out.I am not exceptionally heavy-- I am female, weigh 150 lbs and am 5' 3" - but fairly fit with a substantial amount of muscle, as I work out. I wear size 10-12 clothes.I also have an excellent sense of balance as originally my career was going to be as a professional ballerina. I studied ballet for 8 years from my childhood up.(I switched more intellectual pursuits.) This most likely what saved me from more severe injury.I think many other people who took the fall I just did would have broken a limb or knocked themselves unconscious.I am reporting

I was concerned about whether it would support a 220 lb man, and it turns out that it's more than adequate. It locks into position to safeguard against accidentally folding, and it folds easily and takes up minimal space when being stored. Better than others that you routinely see in the stores. Recommend.

This is the perfect little step stool to keep in your closets for reaching things on high shelves. It’s lightweight and very sturdy. I’ve been using mine for years. Recently I sprained my ankle badly and I’ve been using it as a shower seat. You’re not supposed to use it on slippery surfaces, but I’m only sitting on it, not standing on it and the fact that I can scoot myself in and out of the shower stream is super handy for lathering up and then rinsing. A favorite product!

I feel safe on this stool (for a foldable one). Very good build and easy to fold and unfold.I had some other model before that was very flimsy and lightly built. (got rid of it - too dangerous)

I bought this to keep in our Outback for loading bikes onto the roof racks, and for washing the car. It's rock solid, folds easily and is quite thin when folded up so it takes up no space in the car. If we didn't already have a small ladder in the house, I'd buy another one to keep in the kitchen for my wife to use to reach high cupboards.

I had to send it back as I couldn’t open it. It’s too tight.
