The water from my Vitapur water cooler stopped being cold. After researching about this problem, everyone said that it could be the overload protector or the starter relay. I replaced both and now I'm getting cold water! Very happy with the purchase. Shipping time was a bit long though. x

Here's what you need to know. You have a compressor that needs the help of a run capacitor to start. In my case the whole fridge (freezer and fridge side) started warming. Got to the compressor and she was hot to touch. Long story short, after verifying the compressor wasn't bad (look online, easy to do with an ohm meter) I seen that the compressor was cycling, not staying on long and got HOT. The for sure fix was 3 parts. The run capacitor was the main culprit.. if you know electronics, you know caps fail over time and my fridge was 15 years old. The run capacitor did not give the compressor the kick start it needs... which causes over current condition, almost melting this part, and because of the rapid cycling, the start relay contacts were compromised. The long term solution in this case was to replace the run capacitor, the start relay and this over current protection. Without the overcurrent protection, the compressor would have fried and I'd be spending $1200 on a new fridge. Instead I spent about $75 on the three parts and my freezer is sitting at a solid -14, and the fridge is a perfect 36 and the compressor is cool to touch!

This part came rattling out of the package. Tried it, sure enough. Broken. These parts should never rattle. That's how you even tell when the OEM part breaks.
