Q: Is this just engine and tender?

Yes, this is just a locomotive and tender. No track, cars, nor other accessories are included.

Q: Will this run smoothly on an 18" radius curve?

Yes. In fact, the Bachmann train sets that come with an 0-6-0 steam engine, like this one, have 18" radius track with the set.

Q: Can you purchase the tender separate from the locomotive

I don’t believe so. You may have to go directly to Bachmann to see if you can purchase the tender as a “replacement” part.

Q: Can you put a DCC decoder in this engine?

The engine was designed not to be able to put any add on's on it. Maybe in the future there will be but technology has not advanced that far as yet to be able to put dcc tech in such a small place. Or maybe I am wrong and don't know my ass from a hole in the ground.
