Gareth Stevens Publishing Eminem

Be aware - this book is really at a reading level for maybe 3rd graders. I bought it for my middle school age son, thinking it would be a short biography of one of his favorite artists. Um... it's a book on Eminem so I wasn't expecting it to address deep social issues, but it is very very scant on information. There are maybe 2-3 sentences on every other page. Nothing concerning or inappropriate. My son also thought it was hilarious that they would make a book on Eminem for early grade school children. It might be a good book for an older child who is reading well below grade level, since the language is very simple, but the content would be of interest to, say, a middle school student. There is also a timeline and glossary, which could be good tools for a teacher who is working with reluctant readers. My son plans to cut the pictures (every other page is a full page picture) out of the book for a project.
