Removed half the noise from machanical keyboard made typing on keyboard feel more solid
Installed o rings on mechanical keyboard with loud blue switches. Went from loud clicky clack to now just a just click noise. The o rings now prevent the keys from bottoming out and thus reducing typing noise by half. Noticed after installing the o rings they also contributed to the key's action feeling more solid (less key movement) when typing and helped improve typing speed. I picked the clear o rings because do not interfere with my keyboards lighted keys as other colored o rings might. Over all loved the difference they made and would not hesitate to recommend to quiet and give your mechanical keyboard more premium / solid feeling.

Good quality
These are good O rings. Used them on Cherry Browns and they smoothed things out nicely. Recommended.

Works great on the Razer Orbweaver
I have an Orbweaver from 2013 that is extremely loud and it could be heard over discord. After deciding that replacing the stock Cherry blue switches (basically the old version of Razer’s green switches) would be far more work than I wanted, I settled for these. They work as intended with getting rid of the hard “clack”, but since they are mechanical switches it will not get rid of the click. As long as you go into this with that in mind, they will be perfect.Install:1. At first I used the cap remover. It scratched the paint off of the key cap I tried using it on and just went with using my nails to remove them (which is easy on the Orbweaver). There is a picture of the scratch my 01 cap got when I tried to take it out of the remover by sliding it. I took the chance to clean everything with rubbing alcohol and qtips. The tiny blue cloth actually came into use here — it helped dry off the rubbing alcohol faster than air drying would have so it didn’t leave streaks.2. Putting on the O-rings was super easy to do by hand. **Advice with the Orbweaver: Use 2 rings on all of the keys.** I was able to put 3 rings on the 16, 19, and 20 key caps. I tried the rest and the keystrokes didn’t register but I liked those 3 being higher than the rest of the row that I kept them on. It helps a lot with shortening the travel time down and reducing hand fatigue. My tiny hands appreciate this.Putting everything back on was easy and the whole process minus cleaning and trialing the difference in 0 rings, 2 rings, and 3 rings took about 5 minutes.Thoughts:1. There are people complaining about the felt bag getting the O-rings getting debris stuck to it. Just keep them in the plastic baggy and put that and the cloth/cap remover in the bag.2. The sound difference is there, but it will not get rid of the mechanical click of the switch if they are the loud ones to begin with. You’d need different switches to accomplish this. The click is internal in the switch and it is intended to give audible feedback when the stroke registers.3. The O-rings will raise the cap and shorten the distance needed to register the keystroke. This worked perfectly for my needs because I have really small hands that have joint problems. The soft O-rings helped with it too.4. Doubling up helped a ton with the sound muffling on my Orbweaver compared to 1. Using 1 made zero difference in sound.5. The LED’s were not affected whatsoever since the LED is in front of the switch’s stem. If anything raising the caps made the backlight brighter.6. The accessories make the price worth it in my opinion. The cap remover could use a design upgrade where it doesn’t scratch the caps. Making it the kind where you have to physically pinch it would be better.7. The brush is really soft and is a lot like a cheap makeup brush. For people thinking this is the greatest thing ever, make up brushes come in various sizes, angles, and stiffness.8. Someone else mentioned the well in the Orbweaver prevented the O-rings from being effective — I didn’t have that problem at all since the switch stem sits above the plate. This might be a problem on the v2 but definitely not the OG version.9. My partner can’t hear any difference in sound so milage will vary. So far so good on discord but this also depends on your mic.Overall it’s a really nice kit and I’m very happy with it. I just wish Razer would put their orange switches on the Orbweaver model but this makes due.
