CuccioPowder Polish Dip System Starter Kit, White, 1 Count (Pack of 1)

I have always used gel polish but thought I would give dipping powder a go. This was my first attempt and I must say it looks great. Easy to follow steps included, or watch a few YouTube videos. Can't wait to get more colours now!You do need a top coat, as after a little buffing to a smooth finish they were matt. Could have left them as looked good like that too but I wanted a high shine so used a gel top coat.

Having had my nails done in a salon for years, I wanted to have a go at doing it myself. It definitely helped that I knew how the professionals do it and watching several YouTube tutorials. First go was doing a French Polish which looked great. Next was a colour which went well but I tried overlaying the French polish and it was too thick on the nail so I removed it completely and did full colour from scratch which again was perfect. Removing them isa bit of a faff. Like the salons I soaked in acetone for 10-15 minutes and then wiping residue with a pad and it produced a gooey melted mess with bits of the pad mixed in! Tried soaking for longer and this didn’t really have much of an affect. Will stick to simply filling them off from now on and use the acetone to remove any residue. Would recommend also using Cuccio 7 second top coat to take the pressure off getting the last layer perfect.

Bought it several months ago, almost a year actually, as a complete novice. Looked at several kits, but this was reasonable price, as I had no idea whether i would like doing my own gel nails. Only NOW, after doing my own nails approximately once/twice a month for a year, plus a few family members now and then, do i need to restock. I wish the no 3. layering gel was slightly larger, as this is empty now, while rest is half full or fuller still. I also bought more clear powder, in a larger container. Made it easier to dip then :) i see that buying single bottles of layering gel is £16, but i need it, so will buy it. Only when more bottles in the set are empty, i might rebuy a new set...OR try a different brand to see the difference. But all in all, this is great! I love it, I paid same for whole kit, as two treatments at salon. And i am getting faster and more confident each time. I would say it lasts about two weeks for me. I work in a supermarket at checkout, so i handle lots of hard,soft,wet,frozen and hot items. I like that they can somewhat easily just be bent/pushed off when it start to loosen by the cuticle area...no need to refill, i just do a new set..with or without tips. Add a glass of bubbly and music, and it becomes a self-pampering situation, which i love. Picture is of my mothers nails i did, using this kit. Tips and glue I bought separately.

I was curious about this product and decided after research that it was worth a try. I’m so glad I did. The kit comes with a clear, white pale pink, slightly deeper pink and silver so you have a good start. The picture is the first ever application and although not perfect, probably because I was so anxious to use it, I am delighted. It has been on for two weeks with no chipping or wear and I have done serious housework without gloves. The choice of colours is amazing and if you take your time the application process is simple. I finished it off with a coat of clear gel as it is not shiny. I haven’t yet removed it but I don’t expect it to be any harder than removing my normal gel. My only very slight quibble is it would have been nice to choose the colours in the kit but as you can mix them they are versatile.

I got this kit and also the Kiara Sky dipping starter kit and this is just as good as the Kiara Sky kit and at a fraction of the price. The only thing the Kiara Sky kit has that this doesn’t is a top coat but you can use any polish top coat or a gel top coat (which I did). This was easy to use, and lasted weeks on my nails. The colours are so nice as well.
