Lupine Harness Leash For Dogs, Red, 4 Ft X 1 Inch

I love this lead. I prefer a 4 foot lead for walking and they are not easy to find. I'm impressed with the quality and I like the fact that it is not too heavy, although strong enough for our 75 lb rottie-cross. After 7 months of regular use, it is holding up well.

Do not like the clasp. Very hard to put on the collar especially when the dog is moving ..Not good for a dog who is ready for their walk.

Cons:If your dog pulls and you wrapped the leash around your hand, it makes a death trap because the leash line is completely smooth and has no traction. There is a metal linking the handle part to the leash line, meaning that it will clank around on the floor if you let it down. That is a problem for my downstairs neighbors late at night in an apartment complex.Pros:It is a good leash. Sturdy, well built and durable. The handle is made of a material that gives you traction.Description:The leash is made of two parts: the handle is made out of a slightly padded material that gives good traction and grip, and the leash line is made out of a smooth durable nylon. The handle and the leash line is linked by a metal ring. The fastener is non-standard. You can just push it on a collar to click it on, and you push a button to open it for removal. I have found that it is not hard to remove on standard sized links although it does have less space than a standard fastener. It would be better if the leash line is less smooth for better control.

The leash seems to be very well made - I use it as a handle for my dog's chest harness so I can pull him close if I need to (for example, on Halloween when he wanted to greet Every. Single. Trick-or-treater. who came to the door I could have immediate control of him yet he could walk around the house unfettered the rest of the time.) It's long enough for humans to handle comfortably but short enough to leave on a medium-large dog without being a nuisance.It loses a star for the size of the clip - it will fit the O-rings on most standard collars but won't work on a larger metal ring or carabineer. We affixed a couple of keychain O-rings to the rings on his harness to solve the issue.

This is the most comfortable leash we've owned so far, hands down. I'm petite (5'2") and my 50lb Lab is not the best on the leash so I've always struggled with finding a leash that is comfortable in my hands when he pulls every which direction. My husband (6'2") also prefers this leash over all our others. I love how wide the strap is, and that the handle is padded. My last favorite leash was the Nite Brite Reflective Leash which was braided/woven, but there is a plastic piece on the handle that can move, causing the loop for the handle to become smaller, a little inconvenient when you don't mean to do it.Back to the Lupine leash, the handle stays one size and the entire leash feels very sturdy. The buckle that attaches to the collar is quicker to get on than off, which is what I would prefer. And the buckle doesn't weigh down the leash/collar at all like some other leashes can. The leash is quick drying and so far the color doesn't bleed like we've had other collars and leashes do in the past. If they could make this reflective as well, for sure I would use this leash exclusively. Love that this has a lifetime warranty too!
