This is made in China!
It was of good quality but the only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is that under the pot, it's engraved "Made in China"!

Good size for cooking for two
This distributes heat evenly and I use it to make bread all the time. It gets stained and takes some work to clean it. The lid has chipped already after a few months.

5qt is so pretty I hated to use it---but I did
The Tramonitina enameled cast iron 3.5qt is so pretty I hated to use it---but I did. I bought this like others to make artisan bread. I am so glad I did! I have made 4 loaves so far and each one was perfect---SO FAR I am not seeing any difference in the finish. I was very unsure about putting it in the oven and heating it up with nothing in it. (which as some know is what you do to make artisan bread) I don't heat mine to 500 degrees---this one is rated 450 degrees max on this pan. I heat my oven to 460 degrees and then turn it down to 450 degrees. I have my dough loaf ready on parchment paper so I can just pick it up and place it in the very hot pan, then put the lid on and put it back in the oven for 30 min., remove the lid for the last 10 min. crust is dark enough for our tastes (one could bake longer for darker crust). I don't remove the parchment paper for the last 10 min. I have had no issues with it, the parchment paper can get very dark. I love the crust and the bread I'm getting with this pan! The best ever! I am very pleased, I love this pan. I hope it has a long life, because I have hopes of making many loaves of bread in it, and I know my bread won't be the same without it! So far I can't find anything negative to say about this pan! For my use anyway it is just what I wanted!--Now hopes for it to last!

Really nice Dutch oven
This is being posted for no-knead bread or sour dough bread bakers interested in a Dutch oven that isn't to large or to small to bake their bread in. Before buying this pot I went through page after page of questions trying to learn this pots actual dimensions to see if I wanted to buy it but never did because people don't seem able to read a tape measure including the manufacture, amazing the different readings that got posted for the same pot. I took a chance and bought it anyway. This is for the useable area of the 3.5 quart Dutch oven with out the lid in inches.8 3/16 wide inside of pot by 4 5/16 deep inside the pot to top of lip. 226 square inches in volume.

A great product to have in your kitchen
This is my go-to pot when I am making soups. Slow coming work well with it too.
