I was so excited to get these straws to coordinate with a few of my stainless steel cups. When I received them, I was impressed with the colors and their overall look (hence the one star rating). However, after using I noticed that they were starting to change color across the bottom where they sit inside the cup. The only one I did not have this issue with was the silver one. Then, when I washed them, after use, I noticed a “film” of some sort that resembled plastic peeling off. The end result is what you see in the pictures. I have to wonder how much of that yucky film and color was ingested with my drink. I shared the straws with my sister when I received them, and she had the exact same experience. I definitely will not use these again!!!

Metal is coming off straws already. I threw them away within a month.

Overtime, it’s like when an old coffee tin rusts. It’s got a shiny painted coating on the outside of the dull metal. When the painted coating chips off, flakes of it fall into your drink. You also start to see rust on it, which is very gross in your drink. Now I’m wondering if there are any straws that say “stainless steel” on here that are actually made of stainless steel. I don’t recognize any of these brands as places known for kitchen items in the US.

I bought this package of reusable straws for my office staff to share. I’m a HUGE fan of rose gold so I immediately chose that straw. Two female co-workers were quick to choose the other two rose gold straws. As I went to use it, I realized something was wrong as no liquid was coming through. Upon inspecting the straw, I realized the seal was torn (see picture). I’m totally bummed because now I can’t even return the product because I’ve given a couple away. Soooo upsetting!!!

If is could give it negative starts I would these hurt my teeth made drinking water feel weird. The colors are nice and look expensive but it’s not worth the feeling I get from drinking out of them. They also make ALOT of noise from being in your cup I have it in my metal cup and every time I move it to drink there is noise. I don’t like them I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Super awkward to use.
