The stories are all good, obviously
Beautifully-bound paperback, with feather-edge, slightly yellow and pleasant smelling pages. The Paris Review people care about books, clearly. The stories are all good, obviously, and the forewords before each story pick out why each is so good, although the stink of author's ego permeates through to each story if you read each foreword scrupulously.Because of the quality of the book itself, it is worth the money. The stories, however, can be found for free on the Paris Review website.

paris review stories
keep this by the bed for when i fancy reading a self contained piece. There's a great variety of styles and content and interesting commentary by other writers about their favourites. For people who also write stories themselves it really is what it says - an object lesson.

Paris delights
Great short stories. Short story selection at its best. I thoroughly enjoyed them. Thanks William Heinemann for a great selection.

strange
I thought some of the articles were nonsense and should not have been included. All a bit esoteric but okay if that's your bag.
