Draw 50 Baby Animals: The Step-by-Step Way to Draw Kittens, Lambs, Chicks, Puppies, and Other Adorable Offspring

I bought this book for my daughter, who is 9. She has enjoyed it and drawn several of the pictures quite well already. For kids or adults either one, it gives valuable step-by-step examples of breaking an image down into its basic shapes, then adding detail. You can use it as a simple follow-along to draw just the pictures in the book, but the more useful application will be to follow the pattern to draw your own pictures. Because of the variety of pictures shown, I have confidence that with a little guidance from an adult, my daughter will be able to progress from drawing the samples in the book, to drawing from other two-dimensional sources, and probably later to drawing from life. An adult would probably not need as much guidance to follow the process.

Adorable and very easy, step by step drawings! I guess it’s not step by step, there will be six pictures. So start off with a couple circles then the next picture will add a little and the next adds a little more until you have a complete cat. It’s very easy to follow! I am not an artist but now my drawings look a little better!

I bought 4 of these "Draw 50" books for my two daughters to share. The absolutely LOVE them, and are constantly bringing me their latest drawing :) The books are so detailed and have such varied themes, they are the perfect choice for any child that likes to draw

I bought this for my 10 year old girl who's a future vet/zoologist. It's has really nice designs, with progressive steps to start with leading through 6-8 steps to the final one. The one thing I wish was that it had an age range or skill recommendation as it might be frustrating for someone who has minimal drawing experience. The final images are well shaded and detailed, which can be complex for younger kids, but overall I think it does a good job in teaching structural steps to creating an image.As the book recommends, I'll definitely have to go out and get quality drafting paper, pencils, and erasers, as well as encourage her to not be frustrated if not mimicking the authors final images. It's all a step by step process..

I bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter who loves to draw everyday. She was thrilled, but her 9 year old sister also likes the book and uses it as well. I bought Draw 50 Cats and Draw 50 dogs as well and both girls like all three books. If someone is more advanced in their drawing, this might be a little too easy, but it's certainly appropriate for the 5-9 year old who wants to draw cute animals.

My little granddaughter, who is 8, loves to draw. She just got this today, loves it, and sent me a picture of a very good drawing of a chick. I want to get a couple of books for myself (birds? cats? animals? flowers?) and I suggested to a friend that she gets one for a senior relative who has Alzheimer's.

Loves most of these drawing books. This is one that is detailed with basic shapes on how to draw each animal.

Got this book for my 2nd grade daughter, because the art teacher at school recommended it. She loves it. Some of the animals are a little more challenging but she is working through them all.

clear and easy instructions to follow perfectly put together for someone to follow. all of the 50 series should follow and read like this but isn't I was disappointed with the 50 birds I needs to be remade. got the book for me and to share with a friend.

Awwww how cute! 50 baby animals to draw. Don't this book if you want to draw 50 adult animals as you'll be disappointed. However, if drawing 50 baby animals is your thing then you'll enjoy it.
