EarlyGrowMPL50123 Original Large Shatterproof Propagator with Vented Height Extender Set (Large w/One Extender Set)

My husband says this is great for the purpose and is very sturdy.

I am a professional horticulturist working with tropical rheophytes. I needed a little bit more height than is afforded by my Stewart variable propagators. I chose this product over Vitapod. Performance is critical for this propagator because it will house at least one specimen new to science, and at least 10 more of comparable rarity. The collection will be nationally registered eventually.Unboxing the propagator I was surprised that there was no protection inside the box, and the clear plastic top seemed a little bit abraded in places. There was little to protect it in transit from damage. The instructions were good, and there is an after-sales service available and manufacturer contact details included therein. The assembly was difficult for me. Changing the design to extend the plastic nut so that it can be grasped would vastly improve the assembly experience, making the product more recommendable to people with reduced dexterity. The mechanics, plastic bolt idea, and overall assembly experience was nevertheless largely positive for me (staying calm and relaxed).The materials, thickness, vents, tray shape and overall design are all strong positives. Indeed it felt quite strong and sturdy. Be careful moving it when it is loaded, do not yank the vents etc. Most people should be fine. I doubt I will give it very much wear and tear over the next couple of decades. Treat it with respect because it is an expensive item, and you can damage them regardless of the materials composition. I did at one point, accidentally drop a 6kg steel bar on it - it caused no damage and barely left a visible mark.Top feature: Height - this is simply fantastic for the horticulture I do.Top criticism: There is no hole for a temperature or humidity probe - DIY solution: cut one into the tray.Other notes: The mat does not integrate well with the base of this unit, and there are no videos or instructions that I am aware of.Recommendation: Buy it. Yes it is expensive, but it is your hobby, interest, business etc.Other accessories to pair this up with:1. A pair of decent thermostatic controllers (redundancy)2. Good heating mat (40W if you are somewhere cold).3. USB 4" air fan can be added for certain plants, preferably on a humidistat.4. Amazon Basics 90cm shelf, supporting a...5. Twin T5HO fluorescent lamp on a timer.6. You can even integrate this lot into a controller or use smart wall socket adapters to control growing conditions remotely. Lots of options - great product.I will buy it again.I think the price is a little bit overwhelming because more work is still needed to improve the product.I also think that EarylGrow could reach out and give at least one demonstration.Otherwise it's a solid 8/10 - well done EarlyGrow!

These EarliGrow Large sets are an excellent size to be used with a heat mat and I now have three of them which really helps my tropical seeds to germinate. I got this size as I can now grow them on. There is a small amount of self assembly to the height extenders which are a bit fiddly to assemble but its obvious how to get them together so you don't need any instructions. They are very sturdy and look great but they are a bit expensive.

The product is flimsy and totally overpriced for what it is. I requested refund and selected collections service which was supposed to be following day. Despite reminders still not collected a month later and no refund

The main top section is shatter proof plastic the extension pieces are not also the base is deformed so that the lid does not fit snuggly and has rather large gaps to let out the humidity and let in unwanted pests
