Product was exactly as described, works well and easy to wash up. Only downside is it isn’t to go into the dishwasher. So far we’ve used it for vegetables and dumplings. Very good product.

I steam vegetables every night for dinner so a good steamer is important to me . I have used many steamers over the years and have come to expect some level of flaw or frustration.. I started with the metal steamer baskets you drop in and take out, but they are hot to handle and their metal petals would break over time. I then used a steamer with an inset (similar to the nevlers) but the lid screw came loose and couldn't be tightened. Then I tried another steamer with inset but the steam pressure release hole on the lid was too small so the hot water would boil over. Then I bought a cheap steamer from wal-mart whose basket inset handle broke so it was hard to remove the inlet, whose outside handles were metal and became too hot to touch, and whose bottom became discolored. One fiasco after another. I have had the Nevlers for two weeks and it's worked perfectly. The outside handles are extended so the heat from the gas burner doesn't make them hot so I can lift the steam inset and the pot itself without getting burnt. The steamer release hole in the lid works as expected--releasing steam pressure without boiling over. The steamer cleans flawlessly in the dishwasher. In prior steamers, hard water discoloration stains would appear over tine inside the steamer. So far this has not been a problem. Look at the 2 photos-- one of a prior steamer showing hard water marks from the level where I filled water and the other of the nevlers. So far no water marks, but I will update this in a month or so.This is the best steamer I have ever used after many years of experience.

This is the second Nevlers 3 quart steamer pot we’ve ordered ... one for each of two residences. We’ve made something in it each day since we’ve had it. We are “seniors” and have not ever owned a steamer, but loved the “crunchiness” of vegetables when we ate at friends’ homes. So far we’ve had chicken, salmon, shrimp, baby potatoes, broccoli and numerous other vegetables. It’s QUICK; the food retains its VIBRANT COLORS and vegetables come out CRUNCHY rather than soggy. The pot is made from gleaming stainless steel, which makes it easy to care for. Honestly, it’s my favorite thing I’ve purchased in the last year and has become the most used pot in our kitchen. Thank you, Nevlers, for making such a quality product.

While removing this product from the packaging, I could feel how sturdy it was. I read the insert and followed the guidelines about heat range. I have used the product twice and have NOT experienced any bad odors as stated in some other reviews. It holds a family sized portion of vegetables and they turned out perfectly steamed in minutes. There's practically no steam loss from between the pans, or the top. It is very well made and it fits together perfectly. It cleans easily and I am very happy with this purchase.
