Miracle Invention Works Wonders!
I will admit AT FIRST i was a bit skeptic, but the product does speak for itself. With the exception of having to decode the instructions and having a little know how on your own equipment( your bike), and possibly facing a few missing parts(i.e. Some Bolts, that you can find at your local bike repair shop) that are suppose to be included...Once assembled your dog wont know what hit him and/or her, but in a GOOD WAY~!!I have a German Pointer Whose Energy Level is THROUGH THE ROOF!! He'd constantly wake me up in the wee hours of the morning, and I'd let him out and he'd run all overBut then I found DOG JOGGER!! After Assembling the necessary setup, I took it for a test spin, and it was the best thing for us!!now we both can enjoy a high paced exercise with me not being completely drained and he being satisfied for the day!!if you have a Energetic Breed of Dog, then id recommended this product!!Also my dog loves to play with other dogs, but with this handy little invention when he veers off after another animal, i can maintain my balance with minimal effort. So, If this sounds like it'd be a good time for you and your best friend, Id SAY WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE?!!?!*I'd also recommend a Harness as opposed to just using their collar. GOOD LUCK, and HAVE FUN!!

LOVE IT!
I was researching this and another product that uses a "spring." I am SO GLAD I went for this one! 1. It's cheaper 2. It's durable! I never actually used the other product, but the "quick release" for when the dog gets too far from the bike and you have to "bread and butter" it around a pole sounded like a horrible idea. I have 3 dogs, with 2 of them being GSD's (90 and 80lbs) and a smaller 40lb dog. All 3 of them get easily distracted by other dogs and dart out in their direction. No Good! I am so glad I came across this! Only 10 reviews?? this product is so amazing I don't know why more people haven't purchased it as opposed to the tons of reviews for the other product.Quick breakdown: As others mentioned, the instructions suck. I really hoped it would fit my bike after reading it didn't fit a few others, and thankfully it did. I have a Giant Colorado. When it came to attaching the bar that attaches to the seat, I became flustered. It wouldn't align with the seat clamp screw. It came with its own clamp (a u-shaped screw, a plate, and a big screw for clamping it tight), but that thing is so gosh darn small, I could barely get it around the pole of my seat... and when I did, it spread the u-shaped screw so I couldn't put the plate back on it to secure it with the nuts and big screw. Took a break for about 30 minutes, then went back to see if I was maybe missing something. Then it hit me... DUH! The instructions suck because the diagrams suck. I couldn't make out what the picture was trying to show me. It turned out the bar WILL attach to my seat clamp as long as I use the included SPACER. PROBLEM SOLVED!!! Everything was secure and ready to go!I attached my largest dog to it and gave it a try. He seemed a little far from me, so I shortened the length of the bungee (which is easily done once you manage to move the foam cover). Once I did that, we tested it again. AMAZING! Granted, he was pretty good riding with me holding him by a leash as well. Luckily (for the bike balance test only haha), my second GSD is a little firecracker that loves to run/walk me into traffic and pull. I have tried to ride her with just a leash once, and she made it clear she can't be held down. I didn't even get 10 feet before she had me tip over and was pulling my bike along the road on her own. I attached her to the bike balance to see what kind of damage she could do and..... NOTHING. She kept pace, and kept forward (for the most part). I ride with all of my dogs on my left even though the device allows them to be on either side. The first few times I rode with the bike balance, I rode slow, which gave the dogs too much time to get distracted and pull. It was a good test. The bungee gives you enough time to correct the bike before swerving/falling. I was nearly thwarted off by my larger dog because when I felt the pull (going at an ultra slow speed), I overcorrected my steering and crashed into bushes (but I did not fall, which is why I consider it NEARLY thwarted). Learning my lesson, I decided to ride a little faster to see the pull goes. Ahhh.. all I needed was experience. No problems the next few times. I could feel the pull, and not freak out. Soon after multiple rides, they started to figure out how to walk/run with the bike. They all stay forward now. The pulling is nearly non existant. They learned really fast.I was concerned about the dogs safety, and this product has got it down. They can't get in front of you, and they won't get run over by the back tires. Turning left or right is a cinch. I make multiple stops when riding with them because I worry about them becoming exhausted because it's so easy, you could forget you have a dog attached (seriously!). Now, everytime I take the bike out, they get really excited and keep wanting to go out on the bike. It's great :) Something to keep in mind is what other users have mentioned. PLEASE USE A HARNESS on your dog. It's a lot safer than attaching it to the collar. In the cases they do pull, you wouldn't want to be jerked by your neck, would you?? I attach the harness to the bike, but I also attach a leash to their collar as a safety precaution. In no way are they being lead by the leash. My dogs can be very prey driven, and if they see something they really wanted, I wouldn't be surprised if they tossed me off the bike, ripped out the bungee and took off. It's for that reason I have the leash attached (using another AMAZING product sold on ebay.. the buddy leash attachment). If i could give this product 10 stars, I would. Also, when not using the bike balance bar (that attaches to the dog), the unit looks pretty cool on the bike.

Just received and the item was not as described- It only came with a single black bungee that I am not that confident will hold up and after seeing other reviews to our 50lb puller. Features states it comes with both a "Standard" and "Heavy Duty" attachment, I plan to test first not on the bike rather than go through all the hassle to have it break the first go- will change my rating if things work well and installed on the bike.

Very safe, reliable & sturdy (difficult to assemble)
1. Safety First - Many other dog jogger attachments are stiff (they don't allow your dog to move from side to side) which may cause serious issues when a dog tries to run after a rabbit/squirrel/dog/leaf (?!) and runs right into your tire or, worse yet, you which can cause you to go off balance. However, this one allows the dog to move to/from either side - this may cause other issues as your dog can move out many feet from either side of the bike (careful around cars - my dog can stick her butt out away from the bike and will be at least 6 feet from me, I have since gotten her a very bright vest so cars see her as they see me). When my dog sees a rabbit she will move to the other side and pull, it takes a little getting used to - but it isn't too much of a pull with my GSD (bungee leash), but I would NOT use this with my road bike, the control would just not be there.2. Construction/Assembly - I have had this product for several weeks, and although I was somewhat hesitant to how my dog would run with it, the design is great (and my dog got used to it quickly). It took a little while to put on the bike because the directions aren't extremely clear (and it took little manipulation since my seat post was so large - i just had to hammer it on and bend in the points that get bolted on). BUT, I have complete confidence that this will NOT fall off my bike or be ripped off (like others). Also, think about using some "lock-it" glue to ensure the bolts never get loose (I check each time for safety).3. Mobility - I like that it can be pieced apart. It just makes it more convenient if my dog decides to potty on the trip. Instead of walking my bike around the grass, I can take it off quickly. Although, I do tend to bring a leash anyways. It is great that it (not the seat post bolt or small bars from either side of the tire) can be taken off when not in use, it looks a little bulky otherwise.4. Price Wise - Compared to other products with seriously mixed reviews, I would put a lot more confidence in this over one that has EVER fallen/been ripped off another bike. Running my dog 2-4 miles is invaluable (I hate running and love biking).5. Puppy Love - This isn't as much related to the product, just the benefits of running my dog. I am careful not to over exercise her - but I do like running her a couple of miles each morning. I enjoy different activities, but in addition to walking her and fetching with her, this is perfect. Some days I am at work from 7 am to 10 pm (yes, I am able to take her out once or twice during the day), but if I don't have enough time then a 20 minute ride will do just fine!*** Remember never EVER run a dog under 1 year old (other than light fetching/playing), their bones aren't fully developed and it may cause issues later (ie ACL tears, weaker bones/muscles).*** TRAIN your dog before assuming your dog will just get used to it. Walk with your bike, dog not attached (then attached) - use treats. Get on your bike and walk it slowly. Take the time to train your dog so it will be an enjoyable experience for everyone.*** LISTEN to your dog - my dog nips once at my leg when she has to stop to potty or needs a break.*** Don't push your dog beyonds its limits, one mile may be enough at first - 4 mph may be enough, don't force your dog to run too fast or too long. You may be able to do 5 miles, 20 miles or 100 miles - but your dog may be exhausted at 1, 2, 4. LIsten to your dog and be smart :)*** Bring water for you AND your dog. Don't over water your large dog (beware of bloat). We just had a heat wave (over a week of 100 degree weather), and I did NOT run her during the day for more than a 1/2 mile (3x).Happy riding/running!
