Perfect for a small/medium closet
Light is being used inside a medium sized closet. Brightness isn't bad, the warm white felt the brightest. Charge lasts a bit over 2 months when triggered 3-5 times a day. Magnetic backing is great, it can be taken off from the wall quickly and used as an emergency flashlight/work light. The motion detection is alright, it takes 2-3 seconds to detect or I have to wave my hands about. Also, it'll automatically turn off after 20s - 30s even if I'm still in the vicinity, will need to wave arms again to turn it on and it takes longer to detect motion after automatically turning off.

Awesome light
This motion sensor light is great! I ordered it to use in our pantry and it lights up the whole pantry. I like that you have lighting options such as 3 different kinds to choose from, which we are going to use the brighter of the 3 for now. And the motion sensor is the best option since we keep the door closed most of the time, but it will come on as soon as you open the door, and it goes off in 20 seconds, so you don't constantly burn the light. And very easy to install with the mounting tape and magnet strip that comes with it. Not to mention the rechargeable feature, just take the light down from the magnetic strip and charge. There's a red light letting you know it is charging and it turns to green when it's fully charged.

Work great
The price was great. So easy to install. I just used the sticky part of the magnet. No need to screw the plate in as the lights are not heavy. Like the different setting of the light intensity. If you do have them on the highest needless to say they do need to be charged more often. But that is easy peasy to do.

Really cool, love that they are rechargeable
Lights came in and are exactly as described. Has the adhesive stickers and metal strip so the lights are magnetized and can be removed easily. I purchased these for my kitchen and put 2 under the cabinets and one above the sink. (for some reason my house does not have a light above the sink) I was concerned of the range of motion and that it would be small. Contrary, they turn on as soon as you are even close. The sensors work very well, almost to well. To the point, last night I was cooking rice in my rice maker and the movement of the lid from the steam set off the light. It is a bright white, the kind that has almost a blue hue. Anyway, so far these are awesome, I have had them about a week and have not had to charge them since the initial charge. So not sure how long the charge really lasts. Now I am thinking of getting some for my gazebo outside. Also, customer service is great. Sent an email saying if I needed a spare metal strip and stickers, they will send for free. Can't go wrong with these.

Easy install, tireless battery, perfect for a no light closet option
Looking high and low for a decent output light with a long lasting battery for installing a motion activated light in closets without any lighting. This fit the bill beautifully with a rechargeable battery that will probably out last the house in cycles. With about 1600 lumen output it lights a decent sized closet (5x6) rather well.Easy to mount along the inner door edge and activates instantly when the door is opened, 20 seconds of no activity it shuts off, couldn't work any better.

Simple and works
This item does exactly what is says, easy install and lights up the entire closet. XFast charging and so far the adhesive pads works well.

Best invention known to man
I received this motion sensor light, installed it into clothes closet right away. Super easy installation, bright LED lights. Cannot believe the sensitivity of the motion detector! It's like it anticipates I will be entering the closet! I installed the strip lower than one would expect; about 3 feet off the floor. That eliminates the light shining right in my eyes when I enter the dark room. The magnetized strip attaches to the wall (or in my case closet door) with sticky tape. The light then can be easily attached. Be sure to have the motion detector part facing where you will enter. If you do it wrong, guess what... all you have to do is pull it away from the magnet and turn it around. Great product. Seems well-made.

Does not last after a couple months
The lights are convenient and have three nice light shade modes. i bought 4 of them, but they stopped to work after 2-5 months. One would not recharge, while two would charge ( light turns green from red) but would not go off, even when no one was around the lights, so they would exhaust themsleves after 8 hrs. The fourth one would charge but not come on. Too bad, as they were real nice when they worked. I wasted like 120 $ on these.

The absolute BEST of these type!
PLEASE GET THESE AND ATTACH THEM TO YOUR BED FRAME, THEY INSTANTLY TURN ON AS YOU STEP OUT OF BED PROVIDING SAFETY AND SECURITY, FOR OLD AND YOUNG!!!I have since repurchased these lights over and over as I supply family, friends and find new uses for them.TIP: When ever possible, plug it in; this way you are always ready to swap out a depleted one. My kitchen has 6 moston lights (stove, 2x under cabinets, 1 inside the fridge, one on the exterior and one over the deep freeze), 2 are near plugs, as one dims I simply trade with the fully charged "plugged in" one, no waiting for them to charge; as soon as you plug it in it works as normal while charging.Do not place at low levels (unless plugged in) if you have active pets, or you will be charging daily!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I had wanted under cabinet lighting, forever. None of the wired products suited the layout. Then I discovered this was available in a rechargeable version, so I did a deep dive in multiple online review forums, and ordered from multiple companies off amazon. All but the MOSTON lights were returned.MOSTON is hands down the best version of all those I tried, including the "other" one that was the highest rated by just about every review site! IMO it was poorly designed and had functional flaws. I compared all the units side by side for duration of battery, brightness, and motion sensitivity. MOSTON WINS HANDS DOWN.The flaws I found with the other manufacturers were varied, but most common were short battery life/long charge time and motion detection issues. Primarily that the level of motion required was high (small movements were not enough to keep it lit), and the reactivation time was lengthy. Insufficient motion once activated means the light may/will turn off, and many had significant lags of up to 30 seconds before it would respond to even the most frantic and aggressive waving of your hand beneath the motion detector - almost like there is a pre-set time out before it is even allowed to respond. This may seem insignificant, but when you are in the middle of pouring a beverage, that thirty seconds is FOREVER!The second issue is that a certain brand has a removable end for recharging - sounds great, but the application had multiple flaws. Firstly, this really affected the actual length of the lighted portion, leading one to believe the lighted portion is much longer than it actually is. Secondly, the sole connection between the removable battery portion and the body of the light is the pins that conduct the power. It did not connect in a snug manner, and looked like a great place to bend or otherwise damage delicate pins that would result in failure.WHY DO I LOVE MOSTON? Superior product all around, significantly less expensive, and the least expensive I trialed.INSTALLATION: slap it on a metal surface (fridge, freezer, range hood, bedframe...) once it's charged, and it's good to go. If your surface is not metal, clean well with alcohol, allow to dry, use the enclosed SLIM adhesive pads to attach the INCLUDED thin metal bar to your desired location, slap up the magnetic light, and you are done.BATTERY: charge time is a few hours. Run time is truly difficult to establish as it is based on frequency of activation; the ones in my closets only get turned on a few times a day, and have yet to be recharged, after 6 months (they do say to recharge them every three months, so I better grab those ones and charge them). The ones under my cabinets in the kitchen are recharged every 3-5 days. My trick; I keep one positioned near an outlet, so it's on charge at all times and just swap it out with a depleted one that is immediately on charge and active. When placed on "identical settings" (warm, lowest and then highest brightness settings, recharge time) Moston battery outperformed all I tested.MOTION MODE: I exclusively use this mode and it is stellar, very responsive. Most of mine are under cabinets or close to the ground and all seem to pop on almost too easily, compared to many brands that literally seem blind to all but the most aggressive motion. Best thing about this brand, there is no "time out" issue; if it goes out on you, within 3-5 seconds it will respond and re-light.COLOR MODE: This was critical for me as I hate the harsh blue tones of many LED products, preferring a daylight or warm (yellow) glow - well this one offers all three options.BRIGHTNESS: This was another feature that was critical to me, as I personally dislike harsh, over-bright lighting. At the touch of a button you can set the color, by pressing and holding the same button, you can scale the brightness to SUPER or comfortable, and a whole range in between. The light holds the chosen color and output level so there is no need to continuously readjust it - but when a change is needed, even for a moment, the versatility is there.OPERATION: All I chose had three color levels and a dimmer function. Some may find the small buttons on the end awkward to operate. That said, once the desired color and brightness is determined, I find it is rare I need to mess with these again - so unless you need to change this often, it should not be an issue. All functions are performed via three actions.First, select off, on or motion, via the slide button.Second, select color: bright (blue), daylight (halfway), or warm (yellow), via firm, quick taps on the push button. Third, select brightness. The push button doubles as the dimmer, just press and hold until desired brightness is achieved; do the same until desired dimness is achieved. At any time, if you release the button the function will reverse - you do not have to go all the way bright, then all the way dim. Just don't pump it or the color tone will change.VERSATILITY: I bought these for my kitchen...but honestly, the absolute most critical placement was on the metal bed rail (or slap on one of the included metal strips with the included adhesive pads) - the second anyone gets up in the night the floor is illuminated for safe access to the "facilities"; this could literally be a life saver for the elderly and those with mobility issues and children. No glare in your eyes, but the floor and the path is clearly lit, even on the lowest, warmest setting.Kitchen: under cabinets to provide counter light; range hood, pantry, inside cupboards, drawers, kickplates...Bedroom: on the bed rail, just above the floor to light the floor when one arises in the night.Closet: place on above the door on the inside, you will have a "EUREKA" moment.Baseboards: instant hallway floor lighting (pets can cause the need for daily charging; use near a plug outlet so it's always got power).Bathroom: instant floor and/or vanity lighting. Indefensible during power outages.Vehicles: in the trunk, canopy, camper or emergency lighting; easily magnetically attaches under hood or any metal.POWER OUTAGES: This is what really sold me on these. All of a sudden you are plunged into unexpected darkness, you get up, and BINGO these lights start popping on as you move around. No more fumbling around for your cell phone, stumbling around looking for a flashlight, or worse, access to neither. Not sure how fresh any were before the 12 hour outage, but not a single one failed. It's also when I decided we needed more, and so did other family members and friends. Are they more expensive than wired or plug in lights, yes; but the install does not require an electrician, drills, or cause other damage or expense AND they double as emergency lighting. I think I am up to over a dozen now, of the larger version and half a dozen of the small ones...so yeah, I REALLY like these and highly recommend them.*includes USB-C charge cable (no plug), 2 sets of 2 adhesive pads, one metal strip, one light.SIX MONTH UPDATE: These are now installed inside every shed/storage area/closet; on both sides of the bed; under the cabinets, inside the pantry and both outside, and inside the fridge in the kitchen; on the kickplates and beneath the medicine chests in all bathrooms and in storage/shelving areas. Frankly, I almost never use the overhead lights anymore, as everywhere I go, these turn on, and light my way, effortlessly. The first ones are now well over 2yrs old; out of the probably 50 I've purchased, just 2 have failed: one motion light is no longer functioning (rattles and the dome is obviously loose - perhaps dropped?), but can still be used with the on/off switch. The second won't turn off, so must be plugged in 24/7. Both failures occured within a few weeks of each other, but that would only be a 4% failure rate, and after almost three years. You won't regret your purchase, but a warning, they are totally addictive!
