Pilot Multi Function Pen Light, 0.7mm Ballpoint Pen, 0.5mm Mechanical Pencil, Blue Black (BKHL-50R-BB)

This one replaces my old PhD multi pencil/pen, I've used for the past ~15 years and does so pretty nicely. I am ok with the individually selectable pen colors and pencil. The catch on the pencil is a little bit light so it un-clicks from time to time if I pull the eraser cover or roll it around in my hand, but that is not too difficult to work around. The grip is smaller than my old PhD, but is still larger than a traditional pen and this is helpful for my grip.

Great little pens

So I originally had bought a different version years ago (Pilot Dr. Grip 4+1 Multi-Function Refillable & Retractable Ballpoint Pen + Pencil, Fine Point, Black Barrel, Black/Red/Blue/Green Inks, Single Pen (36220)) and compared to this one, the tip feels finer, which is great for precision writing. The other one seemed to have a bigger pen tip. Regardless, this one writes very smoothly and every color worked reliably. Just wanted to give others a notice of the differences between some of these pens.

I do a lot of writing and these are perfect. I love them. I have given them away as gifts and I use them regularly. A good purchase

I have the Dr Grip regular edition of this pen. Huge difference. I don’t like this one at all. Has aperatures in the plastic of the grip which is very uncomfortable to grip. The word “light” was a poor choice as it means the construction of the pen and not that there is no light in the pen.

Wanted one of these as a child, still want one as an adult! Great to carry around for drawing and note taking. The pencil is easy to load and use. Ended up having to get my kid one also.

As the title said, it's almost as excellent as its cousin, Dr. Grip 4+1, but at a lower price. The difference is that this smooth writing pen is made up of plastic without any metal parts in the exterior which makes it lighter. I am more in favor of heavier pens, but I expected this pen to be plastic, so there is no disappointment there. The pen writes smoothly, is lightweight, and the inks are vibrant. All plus in my book. I would recommend this pen to anyone who like quad pens.

you have it all in one pen and if you make a mistake filling in a customs card you can always rub it out
