What Is All The Fuss About Poor Fidelity ???
What Is All The Fuss About This Extraordinary Product ????After reading all the quite mixed reviews for this product, I somewhat fearfully ordered it....I could not be more pleased !!!FIVE STARS !!!I am using this Griffin FM transmitter with LIGHTNING CONNECTION to play music frommy 5th generation iPod in my 20 year old classic sports car with factory Bose radio, CD,and speakers and receiving VERY HIGH FIDELITY, NO STATIC, NO PROBLEMS.I am located in a congested Southwest Florida city with numerous FM stations, yet Ihad no trouble finding manually a FM frequency to transmit wirelessly the audio frommy iPod to my BOSE FACTORY installed equipment. AND, note my 20 year old sportscar has a rear fender antenna quite some distance from the iPod sitting on my interiorconsole. It just took perhaps 15 minutes to select the proper FM frequency to avoid anybackground hiss, distortion, or overlapping signal.DO BUY this quality Griffin FM Transmitter !!!

One Star
Paid $60 and it stopped working after 5 months. Seriously?Updated review: did not learn my lesson the first time. Purchased the item again, and sure enough, within 6 months, it stopped working. All I get is static, regardless of the station I program to, regardless of the position of the iPod in the vehicle. Definitely not worth the amount paid. I believe the problem is the integrity of the wiring.Main motivation for buying this unit initially: with the item compatible with the iPod touch 4, you could program to an 'international' station ( below 88.0). That is not an option with this item.Purchased a different brand while I was at Staples. Totally different design for about half the cost. Can't be any worse....

Lackluster at best
I had the original Griffin RoadTrip (The kind that was a dock with a flexible neck), and loved it. The reception and quality was head and shoulders above any other FM transmitter of the time.I would have held on to the RoadTrip, but I bought a new iPod with the lightning connector, and a new car that didn't have a good spot to plug the RoadTrip in, so I bought the iTrip as a replacement. It's tricky to find a good station on the iTrip; it even has trouble using stations that the RoadTrip blocked out with ease. It's also sensitive as to where you put it in the car, and the location of choice changes every time. Sometimes it's best sitting on the console. Sometimes it's better on the front passenger seat. Sometimes I have to put it in my lap while driving, or even behind me on the back seat. The final straw, however, is this: When you first start the car/plug in the iPod, it plays the iPod audio for about 2 minutes and then cuts out. You then have to unplug/replug the iPod to get your music back. Both of the iTrips I've had have done this. That's right, both. The first one was replaced under warranty because it got a break somewhere in the wire that made it cut out at random. I know, things happen, but now the replacement has the same problem. Griffin makes some good stuff, but I have to say that the iTrip just doesn't measure up.

I read reviews that said it was poor and lost the signal
I read reviews that said it was poor and lost the signal, well in Colorado I don't lose the signal much but the volume is a bit low but all in all not bad. Since there are only 2 to choose from I'm glad I picked this one.

Great product
This thing works great. Just plug and play, simple as that. There is an occasional popping as you listen, if only it could stop all the interfearance as you drive.....

Works Great
This is a nice product. Works a lot better than my older one. There are a few sound glitches every once and a while (just a little half a second static sound). I am not sure if you when you use their apps with this device you can listen to a call through the speakers, but whenever you get a call it only plays through the phones speakers instead of the car. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to listen to their music on their iPhone in their car. It isn't perfect, but it gets the job done.

Horrible product—do not buy
No matter what FM frequency you have it on, there is always static. Randomly shuts off frequently. Sometimes just makes a loud pitch noise. Piece of junk. Don’t waste your money.

A very elegant solution
A charger and fm transmitter in one. I love it, it works so well. Don't buy the transmitter that plug into the headphone jack, this is a much more elegant solution.

Works great and at a fraction of the big box price
Works great and at a fraction of the big box price. Used but looks like a quick store return. No wear or damage. No issues with the product at all.

Not what I wanted
Dosen't fit my lifeproof case. Wasted my money and the app is frustrating. Why can't it work like the older models and just use straight through the radio with out an app
