Best toolbox I've ever seen
First off, I should mention that I didn't buy this on Amazon. I tried, but it didn't quite work out.In any case, now that I've had it for a while I feel confident saying that it's a great toolbox. It's big enough to hold everything I need to keep in my truck, and it works great. It's completely weatherproof, and we've had some serious weather lately. The lid opens nearly 90 degrees, allowing full access to the stuff inside. The lid is sturdy enough that I can close it from one side and both latches close. The sliding tray can hook onto either side of the box so it's not sliding around while I'm driving. It included a plastic organizer that I have yet to use, but it's a nice touch. In the near future I plan to add some LED tape light for illumination and some dividers for organization. This box just works better than any other box I've used. All the little things I never liked about other boxes aren't an issue with this one. The locks and latches are solid and smooth, there are no leaks, the lid is solid and opens and closes nicely, and the J-hook nuts make mounting and removing the box really easy without putting any holes in my box. And there's a ton of room inside. It seems like they thought of everything. It's huge, but it looks normal sized in my crew cab F350 with 8' bed. It's a few inches narrower than the outside of the bed rails, so in a way it almost looks small in my truck. I bought this box rather than the deep version for 2 reasons, one is that stuff won't be stacked so deep in the box, and the other is so I can still get a decent amount of 8' lumber under it and still close my tailgate. It worked out exactly like I planned.I guess the only negative thing I could possibly say about it is that replacement keys are kind of spendy, and the Weatherguard keys have a rubber jacket thing around them that I didn't like, so I cut it off. I bought additional keys from a locksmith and they're normal looking, which I like better. Oh, and the D-ring attachment points aren't supposed to be used to secure loads in transit. If you can't use them to secure a load, what can you use them for? I don't know, but I guess they look nice.I have absolutely no complaints about this box though, it's definitely worth the money. I see this same size box on a lot of trucks, so it looks like other people like it just as much as I do. I'm surprised that I'm the first to review it here.

Perfect box, damaged product!
Arrived with blown out welds, several dents and scratches. Will Change review depending on the quality of the new one sent to replace.

Best Toolbox Money Can Buy
AMAZING toolbox. I have had several other cheaper brands and the WeatherGuard toolbox blows them all out of the water. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money for a toolbox that will probably outlast your truck.

Arrived dented and damaged. The dents were hard to spot until it was mounted in the truck. I am living with it. If you order one, turn it around and send it back if the package is at all damaged Embarrassingly, I let the delivery guy slide away with assurances of future help if it was damaged.Absolutely awesome box! It is HUGE and looks great (except for the small denting). It is waterproof and super secure. Installation was easy.If I was doing it over,I would pay an extra 50 and pick it up at a store where I would make them unrap it first. Then I would install it in their parking lot and have them take all that cardboard as part of the deal.

Awesome toolbox! This thing holds everything
Awesome toolbox! This thing holds everything, Nice, solid, and well built. Also, would like to say, Smith RV rocks. Box came with ding in it. UPS came and picked it up. Received another box, this one came with a huge dent in it! UPS came back and picked that one up. Within two days, another arrived, no dents.Apparently, these things ride conveyor belts, at the shipping hubs, and are subject to getting banged around.Smith RV answered all my emails almost immediately. They were a pleasure to deal with. Would highly recommend.

Simple install and well designed
It seems this is the saddle tool box brand most contractors use. I'm glad I bought it because the design is durable. I purchased the wide unit since my F250 Ford pickup bed is 8', but if you have a shorter box I'd imagine the standard size is a better choice to maximize your cargo area. I got black because it matches the dark bed liner and bumpers of my truck. You don't often see black saddle boxes. I recommend you get a tool box liner/pad to keep items from sliding around and scratching the inside. For this wide box I bought a big liner roll and custom cut my own piece. Rain is sealed out effectively. My install was easy and I only needed a helper to lift it into place. I'm very happy with the Weather Guard.

Used to be better!
Doesn't seem to close properly sometimes it catches and sometimes it doesn't. It's really frustrating. I think the quality is definitely gone down in the last couple of years.
