Awesome OEM alternative
I can't yet attest to the longevity of this alternator, but I was very impressed with the build quality and fit. It is a perfectly matched replacement to the OEM unit (01 BMW 740il) and came complete with the new o-ring. The pulley spun nicely, without the slightest wobble/play or noise. I'll report back if there are any issues down the road, but right now this has been an amazingly cost effective alternative to the OEM unit.

3 months, 3,000 miles, and no issues.
I purchased this alternator for my E39 back in July of 2018 and have not had any problems. Before purchasing I looked up quite a few aftermarket alternators, read the reviews carefully, and finally ended up on this one based on the product price, warranty, and customer feedback. I hope this was helpful.

As much as these auto parts cost you’d think the post office would be more careful. A piece was broken. Hopefully it will still work.

Item arrived DAMAGED!
Was exactly the part I needed except it arrived broken!!!! Poorly packages as you can see from the photos, and plastic connector shattered(black pieces on 2nd photo on table). Absolutely unusable! Can't believe a part this heavy would be so poorly padded and packaged! And I have to take the time to mail this useless alternator back in order to get a refund!

Part fit perfectly and my X5 is good as new again
